Big things are happening in the halls of Adams Arms these days. Today we have the ability to take superior products to the market at industry leading prices. A recent move to bring production in house coupled with increasing overall productivity allows us to pass savings directly to customers. While traditional piston systems can cost an average of $1,200-$1,600, the Adams Arms base piston rifle now has an MSRP of just $995. These prices allow the company to compete with lower priced, traditional rifle systems, while still offering consumers the ability to afford high-quality piston rifles, parts and accessories.

Adams Arms President and CEO Michael Froning commented, “We are extremely excited to be able to reset the bar from a product cost standpoint while delivering the highest quality products on the market. While the industry is seeing reduced prices to combat lagging sales, we have been able to drive our costs down significantly and pass on savings of over 20% to the consumer”

We also announced exciting new upcoming projects to include:
.308 Rifles
Pistols
.22 Rifles
Shotguns
Custom Slides
Projectiles
Accessories
More news on the release of these products is expected in the next few weeks.

Established in 2007, Adams Arms began with an innovative design that improved the operating system of AR style rifles. The Adams Arms Retrofit Kit provided users the ability to upgrade their existing direct impingement rifles to a piston operated system in a mere thirty minutes or less using a 3/4 inch wrench and hammer. We received a patent in 2008 and gained major OEM partnerships which quickly made their system the number one piston system on the market with more than three times the OEM contracts of competitors.

By 2011 we were building our own upper assemblies and within a year manufacturing complete rifles. Adams Arms’ growth skyrocketed as we acquired our largest OEM manufacturer allowing us to produce the majority of our parts in-house. Adams Arms has also developed and currently utilize some of the most technologically advanced manufacturing processes, machining techniques and coatings, including QPQ, PVDs and Nickels, that far exceed Mil-Spec standards for quality and performance.

We launched VooDoo Innovations, a sister company, in 2013. VooDoo brings high end coatings and processes to the direct impingement market. With so much growth, a major decision was made to purchase $4 million in manufacturing assets. New equipment and the addition of key leadership and industry hires resulted in more than 75% of production moving in-house. Distribution channels were expanded to new distributors, buying groups, direct dealers and website retail sales.

I for one have been bugging you for a gas piston system for my 308.

The lower profile gas block is nice but once a gun is built around the bigger gas block not a lot of reason to buy the XLP since it isn't that much lighter and you already are working around the size issue. Now if it was infinitely adjustable so that you could use lighter buffers and BCGs that might be worth the cost of up grade.

Is this the same .308 conversion kit that you guys were promising back in... what was that? 2010 or 2011 at SHOT Show?

The XLP works nicely for people like me though. I already had a $200 rail that would not work with the original gas block. Being able to sell someone a conversion kit without adding several hundred more for a new rail gets them business. Smart for them to do it.

.308 gas piston conversion would be awesome though.

Sorry we cannot share more info at this time. We will be posting several more major announcements in the coming weeks. However I'm not seeing any mention of .308 conversion kits in our previous post? So I'm not quite sure what you're asking about?

So just a dedicated .308 rifle?

You had one at SHOT 2010 or 2011 and were there was talk of a conversion kit. It got delayed several times and finally just went away.

Absolutely right I would have bought the XLP version if it had been available would have saved me from hhaving to put a hole my Seekins rail. But once the hole is there what is the advantage? Not much for me but very wise on their part to trim up the gas block.

No piston kit for 308? I was told at least twice in emails that you were coming out with one that is the news I want to hear. I am NOT buying any complete rifles or uppers I like the ones I put together just fine.

WHAT? Still no .308 piston coversion kit? Bigger rod, beefier piston and setup. I had a Saiga .308 that I converted back to the original AK style, and it shot great! Had a piston system as well.
