When I Duracoated my REPR, I made sure to mask the flag off. |

When I Duracoated my REPR, I made sure to mask the flag off. I've been thinking of Duracoating my newest M6A2 in some sort of FDE. Was it difficult doing it yourself? Would you recommend doing it yourself? |

Would you recommend doing it yourself? It was the first time I'd ever used Duracoat...for that matter, the first time I've painted a gun at all...and I did it on a $3200 gun. I had some runs in the first coat, but by the time I went for the second and third, I'd gotten much better at that. If you do it, take the time to plan carefully for things like what you're going to mask off, how far down you're going to disassemble the gun, where you'll spray and how you'll hang it up to dry, etc. |

Very nice. 10.5 is FUN. I got lucky, and got a damn fine deal on my 10.5 M6 on GB, it was exactly what I was looking for both in barrel length, and in the discontinued "M6" configuration. Right place, right time. |

I'll play. Fanboi is a term for someone who espouses a company without any real reason...I run LWRCI rifles because they are built to a high standard of quality.. in America.... by good people... backed by a good Company..... owned by a good man... and they run like a swiss watch. I used the term loosely being that every time I try and inform someone of LWRC's superiority in all aspects I'm immediately labeled the "fanboi" ETA: Where do I get one of those kick ass LWRC bayonet's? |

You've inspired me and I think I'm gonna go for it. |

I think I'd like to do the lower, upper, rail and a few other small items. Donor M6A2 http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t520/INFIDEL814/c699e412.jpg That should be relatively easy to strip down and mask off. I'll tell ya, I learned a bit about the construction of my REPR from stripping the lower. |

Also, if you can find an appropriately sized stick or rod that you can put into the pin holes and screw holes, that's a good idea. Other than that, have fun, post pics. C'mon, I did it with a REPR, surely you can do it with a gun that's $1200 less. |

ETA: Where do I get one of those kick ass LWRC bayonet's? The fella that made 'em put so much time and trouble into those two bayonets that he's sworn to never make a bayonet again.. For something that looks so simple, it sure took a long time! Fun project, though. I'm all for painting your rifle and posting pics! I haven't done one yet - two of mine are Patriot Brown and one is MRE, and I hate to cover that up....but I wanna krylon something. |

Good think i know where they are and i might have to talk to the person who has em |

If you ever hear where they went, let me know. With any luck, they used em as a sweetener to close a big deal! More likely they went home with some Sands Expo flunkie after he found em on the floor!

I field stripped and function tested my newest one (mostly because I couldn't keep my hands off of it) and through an ACOG on it. Congrats on your new M6A2! Be sure to post pics |

Break it down, wipe it off, run a patch or boresnake through it, relube with the included oil and go shoot.

Snip Nice rifle you've got there, though. is that a newer buy, since they changed from supplying them with EMODs, or did you put the SOPMOD stock on yourself? Yes, this M6A2 is one of the newer ones. I've had it for a few months now. With the price of ammo these days it's gotta be difficult to fill up those other 50 PMAGS. Feel free to send a few my direction and I'll take real good care of em. |

I have an LWRC upper, and even though it does run cleaner than a DI gun, i need to know if anyone has mounted a suppressor to their LWRC? How dirty does it get in the chamber? I have shot HK 416's and the chamber was filthy.
|
|
That is a table full of win, right there.
As for suppressed LWRC, mine (A3, SPR, and REPR) are with cans nearly full time. They get filthy. Lube it and carry on. I clean about once a year. These rifles were born to suppress. |
|
Hey guys! i just bought a M6A2 so tomorrow, im planning to buy some ammo. I saw some PMC 5.56 xtac 55 and 62 gr. as well as federal xm855 62 gr. which one do you guys recommend? i heard the guy that the federal's are steel case so I am not sure if that would be ok in gun ranges.BTW, im an LWRC newb. thanks!
|
|
Congrats on the rifle. I haven't shot any of the XTac, but the regular PMC 55grain FMJ shoots right at 1moa through mine and my Dad's SPR. Very good stuff. I run that most of the time, with FGMM 77 grain for the long stuff.

In my experience, the shorter the gas system, the filthier the inside gets on an LWRC. My PSD, for example, gets dirtier than my A1-S by a goodly ways. |

Man, I wish y'all would move your operation down to Texas. I would LOVE to shoot with you guys.
