She runs like a scalded dog, on the lowest gas setting, and with the 20 inch barrel, the Trijicon scope, and the surprisingly good factory trigger she'll shave hairs off a no-see-ums ass at a hundred meters, on the wing of course, "Wouldn't be sportin' to shoot 'em setting." - Uncle Jed Clampet.

Perfect would be if my HK lowers would clear, and if I had an LA-5 and a lightweight 416 barrel.

But it will do.

Man seeing those HK uppers has me yearning for my MR556 upper to come back soon. Have everything I need for it to include the diopter sights, Scout light, and VFG. Just missing an optic for it, but I might stick with irons for awhile since I shoot HK diopter sights pretty damn well

Was born a Smith & Wesson M&P15. Now has an Adams Arms XLP gas block. 1000rounds in, got the gas dialed in and brass collects in a neat little pile at the 4.

Finished my first build last month finally after gathering parts for 9 months!

CMT UHP15A ambi billet lower receiver
CMT UPUR-1 billet upper receiver
Fortis Rev II 12" MLOK handguard rail
Silencerco ASR muzzle brake/suppressor mount
Faxon 16" GUNNER barrel
Superlative Arms mid-length piston kit 0.625 solid
POF 6 position buffer tube
POF roller pin for bolt
Daniel Defense buttstock
Radian Raptor-SD ambi charging handle
Radian Talon Ambi 45/90 safety selector 4 lever Tungsten
Ruger Elite 452 AR trigger
Phase 5 Tactical sloped QD end plate
Strike Industries AR forward assist assembly
Strike Industries AR15 enhanced bolt catch
Strike Industries AR15 enhanced ultimate dust cover (flag)
JP Enterprises silent captured spring H2 version
Troy Industries Mil-spec barrel nut
9310 Nitrided bolt with firing pin
Burris Veracity 2-10x40x FFP scope
Aero 30mm scope mount
Arisaka Defense low profile 5 slot picatinny rail
Crimson Trace Linq wireless grip/laser-light combo (not shown)

Built primarily for coyote hunting.  Rifle weighs just over 6 lbs without scope and mount.  Weights exactly 8 lbs as shown in the hunting stand.
Rifle runs smooth, piston setup was easy.  Gas block tuning screw set at default 4.5 turns out, ejects around 4 o'clock unsuppressed and 2 o'clock suppressed.

PWS MK114 Mod2 gun metal Grey Cerakote.
I installed a couple things, a Geissele SSA trigger, maritime bolt catch, and a super charging handle.
I also put a Magpul STR stock, K2+ grip, and mbus Pro sights.
It also has an Aimpoint T2 in a Larue Mount.

I’m really happy with how this turned out.

Restored the Surefire FH556-212A to its proper home after finishing the demonstration of the B. E. Meyers Prototype mount. Much better.

Also managed to snag an early Gen. 1 EOTech 3x magnifier to go with the "old school" kit.

Got my "AF" date-coded 416 barrel re-profiled to a lightweight contour, and installed an HK 10" vented gas block, along with some additional gas system work to reduce blowback and improve longevity suppressed.
