It is Faxon's pleasure to announce the release and shipment of our STREAMLINE Series of AR-15 handguards. Like our barrels, we went all-out to imbune quality and performance into the series.
Retail Pricing: $149 - 15" $145 - 13" $139 - 9" $135 - 7" http://faxonfirearms.com/faxon-streamline-m-lok-handguards/ Press Release: (Cincinnati, OH) – Faxon Firearms, manufacturers of the ARAK platform rifle system, is pleased to announce the release and shipment to dealers of its STREAMLINE series of handguards.

Further, the Streamline features an uninterrupted MIL-STD 1913 “Picatinny” rail across the top and 7 facets of M-LOK cuts at the 90 and 45-degree facets. Rail slots are directly engraved with “T” marks during machining to identify accessory placement anodized or if customers opt for custom coatings. The handguards are released in four lengths, 15”, 13”, 9”, and 7”. The handguard is 100% made in the USA from extruded 6061 aluminum. The handguards are hard-coat anodized black and feature a steel barrel nut. REALLY hoping to see one in 12.7 or so that will fit behind a rifle length front sight base

Thanks, but that's not what I need. I have a 20 inch with a traditional front sight base, not a low profile block. Very few people make a true "rifle" length free float handguard to work with a pinned front sight base View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Perhaps in the future! |

No. Faxon is behind the M-LOK attachment system. We're engineers at heart and like the M-LOK handguard better from both an engineering and aesthetics perspective. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

No problem. It as meant to be slim. We knew many cans would not be compatible.

Well that sucks, I was hoping for a keymod version too. I don't see really any difference between the two formats that makes one superior over the other |

Looks good, clean lines and light weight. Should be a winner. I really do like the m-lok design more than the keymod. Ferrari vs Pinto to me in the style dept.

How long is the tab that over hangs on the upper I want to put one on a Billet upper but I don't think it would work.

The length is about .300", but the clearance under them for a billet upper is there (we modeled it to make sure they clear the Houlding ones we produce. If you purchase one and it does not work, we'll take it back without a restocking fee. |

So, are ya'll done with Houlding? I bought a billet upper and lower set along with two of the k mod hand guards before Faxon acquired Houlding Precision. I absolutely love the hand guards and was hoping to acquire more for future builds. The build using the billet receiver set turned out awesomely as well. I hate to see the brand go away. Maybe I have a collector AR now.

Moving Houlding was far more of a challenge than we imagined which was compounded by outside factors not allowing us to make a few of the items Houlding was manufacturing. Those have been resolved and we're dead-set on getting Houlding back into full production. The aluminum rifles will be released here in the next month or so. Carbon Fiber is in skunkworks, which we plan on some surprises there for everyone. |

AMEN! a non gas tube related barrel nut. I think all rails should have these. Indexing the barrel nut to the gas tube can be a serious pain. Might have to give these a look. Nicely done.
