I finally got around to mounting mine on an ACOG, it has a very positive lock in place. I'll get some pictures shot, and update as I get a chance.

The lever is on the right to keep the charging handle side clean. The left side is also the side that will rest on your chest or kit when in two point carry . This will ensure no snags on your grear.
Thanks. Troy MI Some of us are left handed and charge from the right side.....making this a no go for us. <sigh> |

When will we see a Trijicon MRO mount available for pre-order?
Also, is there enough of a gap on that cantilever mount for the rubber Aimpoint body cover? |

When will we see a Trijicon MRO mount available for pre-order? We do not offer pre-orders, but we will get out a quality mount as fast as we can. We wont compromise quality to get it out any faster, but as our track record indicates we can usually get parts to market in a rather speedy time! Also, is there enough of a gap on that cantilever mount for the rubber Aimpoint body cover? Not sure, have not tried one. View Quote |

I don't have one of these mounts, but the levers look lower profile than the knobs, so I can't see as it would be a very big issue. |

As hard as I tried today, I could not break the MI exact co-witness mount or the el-cheapo Chinese made Primary Arms micro-dot gen 2 optic.
First I had it on the .475 TREMOR and put twenty-eight 500 gr loads through it (7 four shot groups). I took it off and put it on my 870 Super-Mag with 3.5 inch Nitro Company 1250 fps #4 turkey loads. I had intended to shoot 10 but after five I was done. Screw that! From a bench those loads are brutal. I took the optic/mount off the 870 and put it back on the .475 and shot the last 4 shot group. I could tell no change in zero. As far as I am concerned I am done trying to break the optic and shoot the mount loose. They work and both are apparently tough as nails. Honestly, I'd expect no less from the MI mount but that little PA Micro-Dot never ceases to amaze me. I guess the Chinese can make a decent optic so long as someone like PA holds their feet to the fire regarding QC. |

Okay. So my absolute cowitness T1 mount arrived today. I put a T1 on it and slapped it on my MI rifle. I must say, I like this mount, I like the lever, I like the way the lever adjusts, and the fit and finish is very nice.
I hope to shoot it on Saturday so I can sight it in. So far I am very favorably impressed. |

Will this cantilever give the same cowitness as an Aimpoint PRO with the QRP2 base?
|
|
[#28]
The cantilever puts the optic at the 1.7 height . That is a height that most others use for NV mounts and is considered the lower 1/3 height.
thanks Troy MI |

Are your cantilever risers the same height as the standard Aimpoint riser? It almost looks taller making me think (and hope) it provides a true lower 1/3 cowitness.

I'd be interested in a 20 MOA cant 30mm scope mount with a 1.4" height from rail to ring center, and so would pretty much every other shooter I have talked it over with.
1.5" ring center heights always seem to be just a bit too high, and for rifles where we don't want the Magpul PRS or any adjustable cheek piece, we have to go to a mandible weld. Love your Gen II SS handguards BTW. I'll be getting one of the new G3 Lightweight Handguards as well. Seriously though, if you make a 1.4" ring center height 20 MOA mount, it will sell. |
