You can.

I have them on my CMMG 308.

Without giving you 100% certainty, any reasonable low profile gas block should work with any rail.  If it doesn't fit, it's a fail for the rail manufacturer *CMR cough*

He was asking about the .308 rail height (being that .308 stuff isn't really standardized)

some close up pics of the area between the rail and the upper would be nice.  Would like to see how the rail profiles match up with standard forged uppers. Can't really tell with the pics shown.

Are you going to offer a wrench for these?  If not, who's tool do you recomend?

I really hope you are going to offer a tool.  It's been a big issue with the CMR rails since the tools that fit are not designed for the torque load and they ususlly don't have a spot for a torque wrench.

Will you guys have your Mk14'ish rail covers like you did for the older revo rails too? Those were really appealing but you dropped the ball by only offering short versions.

If it only matches the older, high rail DPMS uppers, what good is it for any other 308 upper????

Because DPMS, Bushmaster, Remington, and S&W are the only ones using the newer low receiver. Since, 3 of them are the exact same rifle, and the 4th uses more proprietary parts, why cater to the few, when you can make more money catering to the many?

Well, apparently I had that bass-ackwards. I was thinking DPMS went to the lower receiver height because all the others were low, to somewhat standardize things. Apparently, DPMS just did pre-planned stupid?

After reading that again, I guess I wasn't as confused on that as I thought?  Who does stick to the higher pattern for uppers these days?

AR10/308 ARs. It's a source of confusion for myself and others. I've been into AR15s for 20 years or more, but just recently starting playing with/building 308 ARs, and going from mispec/common standard, to variances everywhere, has been a PITA.

A couple years ago, DPMS changed their rail height. Not sure why, but I think it was to use more standard AR15 sights. Or, it might have just been an attempt to make their stuff more proprietary. Since DPMS, Bush, and Remington all use the exact same parts, they are all the same. I believe S&W chose to go with the DPMS rail height as well.

But, Armalite, SR25, Black Rain, Mega, just to name a few, use the SR25 style rail height. It makes building a 308 AR a total pain in the ass. But, if you stick with the 3rd party companies like Mega, BRO, JP Machine, you would have to use the older style DPMS rail height. Many companies are aware of this, and give you the option to chose. Some have stopped giving the option, so you just have to watch what you buy. No one wants to agree on a standard for the 308, which is entirely stupid. You have the SR25 and LMT MWS, so that should be your standard right there.

But everyone wants to be different and make their pie slice just a tad bit bigger.

Bravo, CMMG.  This new type of HG attachment is similar to (maybe licensed from?) Midwest Industries latest models.  The real improvement of the CMMG version though is that it dispenses with notches, cogs or holes in the barrel nut for the gas tube.  That allows the installer to tighten the barrel nut to optimum torque, then use the knurling on the exterior of the nut to clamp the HG tube onto.  The gas tube always fits into its keyhole regardless of the final position of the barrel nut.  No more need to apply excessive amounts of torque just to get to the next gas tube notch.  I know from experience with MI's version of this type of clamp-on HG tube that it is rock solid.  Accordingly, I trust CMMG's version will not twist out of alignment. - CW

i got one of these for my 308 a month or so ago...  it seems to work well, not too much flex and a good finish. only down side i see is that the barrel isnt exactly in the center of the rail where it exits, its sitting kind of lower 1/3 of the handguard. that might be common with 15" handguards, i dunno?  doesnt really bother me... im happy with it!

So I'm still confused. These do not fit current production DPMS LR-308 uppers with forward assist, only the older pre 2010 slightly higher railed version? Also it's been over half a year and still only 15" for the .308 version? Can we get some support for the current DPMS LR-308 platform please...

I love my Keymod9 on my pistol. At first I was looking at the higher end rails, but my buddy at Black Rifle LLC talked me into giving this rail a try and it works great and is nicely priced!
