OPTIMIZED SNIPER SLING
The Optimized Sniper Sling is a versatile tactical sling used to enhance repeatability and stability of the shooter resulting in increased first round accuracy, ability to see trace and/or splash, and lighting fast follow-up shots. This sling was specially designed with input from experienced snipers incorporating essential functions for tactical use and a patented integrated “bipod loading” mechanism.

The Concept of Bipod Loading:
“Loading the Bipod” is a term used to describe the pressure between the bipod legs and the shooter’s shoulder which essentially locks the weapon into place making an extremely stable firing position. This sling allows the shooter to load the bipod when there isn’t an object to press the bipod legs against, ensures equal pressure/ loading on every shot (repeatability), and gives the shooter unmatched recoil management.
Prone Mode:
To fire in the prone position simply press the button on the quick disconnect and assume the prone firing position. The sling can be used with the body loop over one shoulder or the body loop under both arms (as shown in picture above). With the non-firing hand, pull on the running end of the bipod tension strap to force the stock rearward into the firing shoulder. This will lock the weapon into place.
Single Point Mode:
The OSS allows the operator to maneuver and fire the weapon like a traditional single point assault sling. The padded loop around the body is quickly adjusted using a “Rucksack” style friction buckle. With the Bipod Tension Mechanism attached, (as seen in standing figure to the right) the operator can quickly assume any bipod stabilized firing position (standing, kneeling, prone).
Two-Point Mode:
To secure the weapon to the operator’s back (climbing or fast-roping ops), the body loop is place around the stock of the weapon and the OSS is now used as a traditional two point sling. This function places both the Bipod Tension Mechanism buckle and the Body Loop friction buckle on the operator’s chest for easy adjustment. The vertical bipod attachment loop prevents the bipod legs from extending while the weapon is on the back.
