I'm having a barrel made for a clone that will use 6 hole carbine handguards.  I need to know the dimension of where the shoulder should be for the gas block and handguards cap to stop at to fit the handguards.  Can anyone help me out?

This is an original Colt XM177E2 barrel. I'm showing exactly 6 3/4 from the front shoulder to the face of the lip of the barrel extension.
