here's a serial number lookup

it is missing a lot of serial numbers but a phone call will usually get it taken care of.

however, i don't think they release any information on their non-civilian offerings.

Good luck, but Colt generally provides no information about specific machine guns.  Legally owned doesn't matter--they just won't give any info.
If you get anything from them, let us know!
