looks like an early 602 upper, look at the milling by the mag well on the upper Rear site doesn't look correct however

early 604 would have the recess under the port door.  dimpled rear sight screw too.

Umm, no. It's an early 604 upper, the arrow and R are raised from the forging die. 602 was engraved or possibly roll stamped.

I like the clean look of the area below the ejection port lining up with the lower receiver on all the early uppers.

& likely have a square pad port door instead of the rectangle A1 too.
