Beautiful GF, Tex. I especially like this pic. She's got that long, lean '60s hippie chick look going on. Like when she's done shooting she's ready to go front a rock band.

Thank you, I think she's beautiful. I really don't understand the rude comments earlier. I think John Thomas' wife and RRiggs' GF are beautiful. Rakkin's daughters are just adorable. Xm177e2's friend is real pretty, and so is streetstar's wife.

All the ladies are very attractive. I'm not sorry that we all don't date supermodels like everyone in Arfcom GD. All I can say is some people have no class.

Tex, Agreed, rude comments totally uncalled for and don' make no sense no-how.  You're GF is a cutie.  And what a smile!

Yea the rude comments are totally uncalled for.. in my case, the girl I posted is just a friend, nowhere near SO or GF, no one negatively criticized her and I'll be the first to say in this thread that shes not the most attractive of girls but she's a girl with a retro, so I figured it fit in the thread.  Most of the girls in this thread are really pretty, but last I checked the thread title isn't "POST YOUR SUPERIOR AMAZINGLY HOT TROPHY WIFE HOLDING A RETRO"... either

+1 " Yea the rude comments are totally uncalled for."

Extremely rude and uncalled for.

Geez, I guess someone left the gate open over in General and they've wandered in here again....    I have no idea what they are talking about (don't think they do either), there's some mighty purty women in this thread!!

ETA:  She can checker?!?  TexasRifleman, you need to keep her!!  I tried to checker once, it didn't turn out so pretty good.....  RRiggs saw it, it was not good.

OK there isn't a single person that should be ashamed of any of the pics they have posted in this thread! All of the ladies posted are beautiful for many reasons:
A: They put up with our RBRD asses taking pics of them and posting them.
B: They encourage/support or RBRD, and in many cases have happily been infected and would rather go shoot/work on guns than go to a shoe sell. (OK that might be a stretch, but you know what I mean )
C: It didn't take 20 minutes of looking through random pics on Google images to find a picture to post

So I am going to combat the rude comments by posting more pics of my girlfriend with retro rifles and posting them so the persons that think this is a thread full of "butter faces" will stay in GD.
That being said she isn't holding a retro rifle but she wanted to help and learned how to trim brass. Other pics will be posted later

Never be afraid to use the report button.  Arfmods are good but can't be everywhere all the time.

I don't own any retro stuff, but I certainly admire the effort and dedication you guys show to the art of it and enjoy seeing how your families enjoy it with you.  It was a shame to see a couple classy guys pissing on the thread.

Probably the only reason why I finally broke down and got an account with AR15.com was the retro forum and gentlemanly(and ladylike) conduct of the members here.  I've seen too many computer-brave keyboard commandos launch personal attacks at fellow gun-owners and countrymen to really have a bad taste about firearms forums.  Thanks for all those who not only maintain decent behavior, but really go out of their way to help a brother out when it comes to this hobby and our 2A responsibilities.

That pic was taken at the top of The Lost Mine Peak in Big Bend Nat'l Park. That's why it's a 12.5" pistol. It was my backup backup pistol. I wasn't sure if I could take a long arm. Pistols are allowed with a CHL.

My girlfriend this evening with my newest build. XM16E1 clone.

She just got the lamp and repainted the table thing. She's proud of it.

I'll make a spec thread on the XM16E1 clone when I get access to a real computer.

Again, nice pics Tex. And 86HMMWV said it, need a new thread with a break down.
Going through pics now to post later myself.
Told the girlfriend about the "comments" that had been posted.
She volunteered to have pics taken with ALL of my retro guns this evening, even brought several tops and changed out for each era of guns
Just trying to decide how many I am going to post at one time, or space them out

Lol thanks, guys. She'll be my wife in a few months once I get home from the sandbox. She wants me to build her an XM177E2 so I better get started on it soon She loves shooting my 1918 DWM Luger and my HK USP45 Tactical, as well. Didn't have a lot of time to go shooting before I left but I'll definitely be taking her more often when I get back

OK so here are some from tonight.
Going to start with WWI, think they qualify as being retro!
First up a Steyr M95 with bayo. Not sure on the date of the Steyr yet, still doing research.

Styer again with a 1923 Bolo Mauser.

Next a 1925 Mosin-Nagant 91/30

This is the Mosin with the bayo because I thought it was funny that the whole thing was taller the she is

A 1908 dated Spring 1903, with Bismarck sneaking into the pic

Again the 1903 but with a 1918 dated 1911.

Sorry the flash washed out some of the pics, but didn't feel like editing the photos to adjust them tonight.

OK moving on to WWII with some of the Axis weapons.
Leading out a German K98 from 1941. She was asking what/who the rifles were from as we took the pictures, she heard German and got the weird look on her face

A French MAS 36/51dated from 1936.

Italian Carcano 91/28 Dated 1932 with original sling.

Italian Carcano M38 Fucile Corto Dated 1940.

Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Nagoya Arsenal Dated 1939. This is the pride of the Axis collection. It has the original sling, mono pod, dust cover, intact airplane sights, intact Mum, all matching numbers and I have the original G.I. bring back tag in the safe

We don't need those types here.  Not in our retro home.  However, and I say this with the utmost respect fellas....so please don't take offense but it comes with the territory in a thread like this.  By no means am I saying stop...however just be prepared for more meatwads.  Unfortunately.  Honestly I'm surprised it took this long.

Thanks Tex ,     ––  its rifle deer season now and i haven't been on the boards in a while .

I'm glad i missed out on any "mud slingin" going on     saying something bad about another man's wife or girlfriend is akin to kicking his dog

My wife is not much of an enthusiast,  but she does tend to put up with me pretty well ––- as long as the bills are paid , she usually does not care how many "discreet packages" i bring home.    I am going to go NFA and  work on procuring a silencer for an AR  ––- her biggest issue is muzzle blast.
I don't need her to turn into Foxy Brown or anything when it comes to firearms,  but i would like her to be able to competently handle a few items from my collection if she ever needed to
