whats the value and difference in a new/like new mp 12 barrel vs. an mp s12 barrel and mp * 12 barrel all in like new or new? my barrel came from a 1966 dated sp1 and has a * and 12 at end of barrel underside and mp in middle site base. i see others like 67 dates with s 12 not *12. why the change and if any what does value change? both are no drain hole bevel ground fsb. is one more desirable? 3 prong and knurled washer parts as a group is intact. slip ring parts kept separate assuming.

also. gm hydra dimpled buffer, spring and BLACK not grey original buffer tube aka rec. ext. all in exc. shape cant find a value on that one.

has anyone seen the gm/hr pattern a1 grips that have no markings anywhere on them? i have hr mold markings of 1,2 and 3s in circles and plus sign gm grips 1,2,3, and 4s but there is a 3rd type no mold markings.

did colt have those at some point maybe [on rare xm16e1 or?] and other 2 companies copied or who made the devoid of mold markings ones? value of them? they were very scarce out of a pallet of grips received. markings were not removed they just never had any. im trying to think of why those exist and where they fit into the puzzle if anyone knows.

Here's a stumper...

A Normark Single Point with an original M16 carry handle mount both in good to very good condition. I lucked into one about a year ago, I've never seen one ever sold or for sale, so I have no idea what it's worth beyond the $150-200 for the Single Point it's self.

Does anyone know the value of a "New in the box" Colt Realist scope with inverted reticle? The Original red box is also in Mint condition.  I know that the scopes alone sell for $700-800, but I just don't know how much value the mint box adds to the value (I believe he also has the instuctions in the box too). He wants $1500 for everything.

Ive got a set of dimpled take down pins and selector, awesome condition... strong chance they were refinished. How would I tell if they are original?

Pictures on the way.

I have no need for them, unless a XM177e2 used them but I haven't seen any in pictures.

Looking for info on this BCG. Its out of an Pre-Ban build. So I have no idea who the manufacture might be.

No markings on bolt carrier. The finish is kinda speckled.
Gas Key not staked.
Bolt marked MP.
Lastly this came out of an Essential Arms J-15 build (XM177e2)

What would a Portuguese AR10 w/bipod built on one of the US made semi-auto lowers (Hahn, Sendra, Telko, H&H, etc.) go for today?
I think a member here bought one several years ago and posted some pics here but I can't find it.
I have an idea of what a standard Portuguese model will get but I know the mere addition of the bipod/handguard/liners drives the price up quite a bit.

Mitchell Arms Armi Jager 15-22. Looks to be new in box, although I cannot promise it is. As best I can tell it has never been fired. I have not shot it, or even pushed the takedown pins out. What on earth is this thing worth?

Hey guys, I'm interested in an SP1. I'm not looking to drop a lot of coin on a really early one. I'm curious what a not so collectible SP1 in excellent condition and what one in mediocre/well used condition are worth right now.

It partially depends on what part of the country you are in.  Here in the midwest, if you shop around, you can find them in the $800 - $1000 price range.  Good luck

What does a decent 1995 colt MT6731 match target compition hbar II .223 with 16' barrel, carbine gas system, A2 stock and detach carry handle go for?

More info: original owner, comes with 2 original 10 round colt mags and only 1600 rounds through it since 1995.

C7  Probably $200 + or -
A2 Stock (without tube, etc.) $35-$40
3 round burst, that's tougher, probably $125ish
Colt LPK minus FCG  $25-35 tops without the FCG.  $75 to $100 with it.

Not too common, probably $1000-$1300 (just a SWAG, since you seldom see them with a 16" HBAR and fixed stock).  I am assuming a stock A2 upper receiver. Not a particularly desirable configuration.  The HBAR defeats the purpose of the 16" barrel.

Thanks for the reply, it's got the flat top receiver with detachable carry handle, the sear block pins are the size of the safety hole it looks like (is that normal?) what do you think the upper and stock would go for? I mainly just want the lower.  Thanks

You could probably sell the upper with BCG, charging handle, and carry handle for $600.   There are a bizillion Colt uppers for sale now, and it is less common than the M4 barrel.

Adventurelines go for $120 to $130 a 7 pack (I know because I just sold two sets).  Colt 7s go for a bit more, since they are scarcer.  I'm guessing $150ish.  Those Colt's have the "5.56" on the base instead of the earlier ".223" markings. that may change it a little.

20" barrel off a SP1.  No slip ring, square sight post, light rust on flash hider.  Comes with gas tube.
What would selling price be with all the "issues"??  I know $300 is the benchmark of one without "issues".

Thanks.

You're welcome! If it was CMP C or CMP B, it would be more, especially if it was an even earlier barrel with a cast FSB, it would go higher.  Yours is the most common to find, as lots were made as replacement barrels for service weapons, then surplus when they started issuing M16A2s.

What’s a really nice original modified 3 prong flash hider going for today?
Link Posted: 1/13/2018 11:18:22 AM EDT
[Last Edit: axl] [#45]
By all indications it looks like I've stumbled up on a 603 receiver with barrel, no marks on front sight base, and correct hand guards. I will try to get some photos up later. It has the pencil barrel, no marks under the rear sight, raised directional markings on receiver, Triangle & Square with "C" Located in front of ejection port (very faint) No Forge Code, flat hand guard slip rings, C M Chrome on the barrel, and bird cage flash hider. I didn't know what it was exactly (still don't) when I bought it but decided to take a chance. I'm not into building plus already have a retro rifle set up. Condition is well used, rifling looks good, lugs show more wear than I'd like but rifle fits snugly on a old MEGA Arms receiver. Should I decide to send this on down the line what would be a decent sell or trade value?

thanks for the reply in advance.

The carrier alone $125 + or -, Bolt alone $75-$85, set $175 to $200. Firing pin $10 It is a current one.

MY last original 601 BCG (it was early full round key like your and later wide ban bolt, also like yours), I think I actually gave $175 in early 2017, but prices seem to be a little higher now

I just picked up a "very good" condition Colt Sporter Match HBAR. It is serial #MH042,XXX. From my guess it is a late 70's to early 80's, pre-ban production. I got  it for $895.00
I assume this a pretty good deal? What are current values on these guns?

I don't think it's that old. More likely early to mid 90s. Possibly pre-ban but you'd have to verify the SN with Colt. It's right on the cusp of the ban era. If post ban, what you paid is about market value. If it's pre-ban it could be worth more to someone in a ban state that specifically allows pre-bans and HBARs. Does it have a sear block? Bayonet lug?
