I looked at the same thing recently, but came to the same conclusion lack of parts supply. Its weird we got the president we wanted and still everyone is buying wverything in sight, or manufacturers are just building slower hoping to drive up prices.
I believe most 12.5" are going to be carbine gas. They are fun to shooy but the recoil impulse is significant compared to 5.56 size weapons |

I purchased a 308 upper from KAK Industries. Back then, they shipped with a 10.5 inch barrel. A year later KAK had a sale on 12.5 inch barrels. Had them switch it out. Love it. Talk with kurt from KAK Industries.... KAK , he will take care of you to insure you get what you need.
Here is mine.... Just put a Eotech on it. Putting on a warcomp shortly to suppress it down the road!

Your guess is as good as ours at the moment as to why. I can assure you, that if manufactures are slowing production to drive up prices, they are making a poor decision and missing out on a lot of sales. As for the OP, we currently have 12.5" .308 stainless barrels in production if you are interested. -Tony @ BA |

I got one of the last kak 12.5 barrels, but I have thought about switching it to a 10.5.
hard part is finding a rail that doesn't cover the whole barrel. you will more than likely want a adjustable gas block and heavy buffer/spring |

May not be exactly what you want (ie not a pistol), but I had ADCO cut a 16" BA barrel to a hair over 14" and then pin my YHM QD mount on it for 16" OAL. In case you thought about a pinned 16".
Aero M5E1 upper with 12" handguard. |

I got the last kak 12.5 a couple months ago. had to get an adjustable gas block , heavy buffer and spring.
Last week I swapped it for a 10.5 so now I need to get that dialed in. it definitely gives you a kick if you open the gas |
