Just got two lowers from PSA. Im gonna start a a mk18 clone first. Any tips on the build for do's and dont's. I'm looking at going with a 11.5 in barrel instead of the 10.5 I heard of problems with the shorter barrel.

I know the reason is because of the problems over read about with a shorter barrel

Good to know I will post pics as the build comes together, I think the 10.5 will look better due to wanting a rail that ends just short of the end of the barrel.

10.3 is the correct length for mk18.

I did a MK18-ish build using a 10.3" DD barrel with a H buffer and a SpringCo blue spring and it ran great. I then switched to the Ultra Compact stock set up with proprietary H and Spring and it runs just as good. IMO for a CQB rifle, 10.3" is where it's at!!

That exactly what I'm going with is a BCM 10.3 in have heard too many goo things about that barrel to pass it up

As far as uppers receivers doesn't really matter as far as manufacturers, are there certain ones to stay away from?

Lower parts kit ordered from redbarn got a BCM mod3 pistol grip, moe trigger guard and a cmc 3.5 trigger
