Im building a AR Pistol and Ive got the lower built with the KAK Super Pistol Buffer Tube with SigTac Brace on a Smith M&P lower.  I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to what Upper to go with? Im new to the building aspect of ARs so Im just gonna go with a complete upper on this build, but i will work my way up to building a upper but not this time lol.

I'd go for the PSA 10.5 upper. Excellent quality, excellent price, and it will bring you to over 26" so you can add a VFG if you want.

Best? 10.5 lmt or 11.5 bcm.

Just playing devils advocate here but what makes them better than the PSA upper?

The LMT upper is $538 for a non hammer forged 1:7 chrome lined barrel.

PSA's upper also uses a 1:7 chrome lined barrel made by FN and unlike the lmt is hammer forged which was on sale on July 4th for $290...

Dont get me wrong i like PSA and own a couple of there uppers, but between the PSA, freedom, and ptac line some times i dont know just what i am buying. As with lmt or bcm you know what you are getting, and while you pay more they will always sell for more of a premium than a psa upper would. I admit i am kinda a brand snob when it comes to uppers, optics, and bcg.

I got to handle a Noveske with the NSR rail the other day.

I was certainly impressed.

I had planned on going with a 12" LMT CQB MRP but I'm rethinking that now.

You really need to give us a budget. You're looking at anywhere from $250 to $1500 here.

PSA has phucked me on more than one occasion and don't care if their stuff is made of plutonium, gold, and shoots rainbows... I'm not buying from them, they will never get my money again.

My vote goes to bcm, lmt, noveske, spikes, pretty much anything that is built right and stood behind.

I am in the same boat, I was thinking of a 10.5 inch upper in 5.56mm, but now I am seriously considering an 8 inch .300 Blackout from these guys who are local to me, pretty decent prices.

MAS Defense

Im guessing that "GTG" means "good to go?' and I was looking at their sight, and noticed they had barrels in .223 wylde. Im not familiar with that, was just curious as to what it was

The Wylde chamber is between the .223 and 5.56.  It is capable of shooting both, and in the opinion of many, it is a chamber that provides a bit more accuracy...

I went with Rainier Arms CE11 which is one of their completed upper. I heard nothing but good things about Rainier arms and everything on that upper is above averaged quality. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for

I like Ballistic Advantage's uppers also.

Take your pick depending on hand guard!

I also see you mentioned using a S&W lower. If it is a lower off of an M&P rifle, you can not use it ( I may be wrong and S&W may offer a pistol AR, just never seen one). Though I would assume you knew that. Just mentioning it in case you didn't.

Ive been looking at the BCM ones over and over, plus the ones from MAS Defense.  And as for the M&P lower, I bought it as a stripped lower, so Im good. It wasnt registered as a rifle or as a lower
