I'm building on the cheap so I don't want to spend a ton of cash.

What gas tube do I need for this length pistol barrel?
What gas block do I buy for a non dimpled barrel?

Any good vendors for your recommended product?

Brownells has the pistol gas tube

Is a slip-on block with setscrew going to work without a barrel dimple or do I have to buy a clamp on?

You might consider an adjustable gas block. bte-usa has them cheap and made in USA. I put together a budget 7.5 and went with that set screw type.

I second the BTE block.
I have the regular one but the quality is great and works perfect.

What does "regular" mean?

Can't I just use a $29 no name one with a couple set screws on the bottom or are these 7.5 guns that picky?

By regular I mean it is not adjustable.

I picked up a YHM lo-pro gas block and noveske pistol length gas tube off of midway for pretty cheap.

Just make sure what ever gas block you go with is steel. I would stay away from aluminum.

It may run with a regular gas block but if it does not you may get to buy 2.
