"Thumper" upper buildsheet

Palmetto Upper
MI GenII T series 7" handguard
Surefire ladder covers
Ice Arms 6.75" stainless barrel (pistol gas)
Ice Arms Low Profile gas block (barrel dimpled to match block)
YHM QD flas hider
BCM Gunfighter CH
AIM M16 BCG
KAC Micro sights
KAC VFG
Gear Sector hand stop
Aimpoint PRO

Palmetto lower
KNS pins
Sig Tac brace
WMD nickel boron FCG
Magpul K2 grip
Troy QD end plate
H3 buffer with carbine buffer spring
RRA ambi safety (trimmed and cerakoted)

Originally it was going to be a second upper for my SBR, but Palmetto had a free shipping blem deal on lowers so ..........

I wanted something different and "Fun".  Took it out today and it cycled 100% even on cheap low powered Tula ammo.  Sighted in at 50yrds with some brass Monarch and it groups okay for a barrel that short.  I forgot to bring some AE black box and will do that next trip.

Fire balls are interesting, but not to bad as far as concusion to the guys next to me.  The Shield cut down on it a LOT.  Without it it's still not too bad.

Video below was shot when the upper was on my SBR lower.  It no longer has the VFG due to the fact it is under 26".

It's funny, I looked at the background of your video and instantly knew that was Texas before I even saw where you were from

Nice looking rig !  Do you notice much performance loss with the short barrel ?

I have no delusions that this rig is a multi use weapon.  I plan on keeping it loaded with Hornady Tap 60grn soft point.  This will be my range toy and suite case gun on trips.  I don't want to hassle with the ATF if I plan to travel.

It groups well at 15-30yrds but the groups get bigger at 50..70..100yrds.  Still Minute Of Man, but deff not 1MOA.

I bought a MAS Defense 3-piece Krink can.  It added too much length and wasn't necessary so i took it off.

I am currently thinking about just how short a barrel I can run with a KX3 or a MAS Defense krink on it.  I have an extra upper and lower, it may lead to another build......but I doubt it.

That was what I was wondering . We do rifle matches but they throw in some hundred yard targets. Normally they are 12x12 steel. That would rock in vehicle stages.

What buffer tube are you using to get the brace on that far?

Regular Pistol Buffer tube.  It would be a PITA to get off if I ever needed to.  Luckily for me I live in Texas and I have no doubt if left in the sun it would be pliable enough to force off.
