It's a DPMS pattern platform. Just upgraded mine. The base package is a really solid package for less than $700. I just prefer melonite, free float and mid length gas - so I changed it

Thanks for the replies. I have had good experiences in the past with DT stuff, but I know .308s can be finicky and troublesome sometimes. I wish it were a midlength gas system, but for the price it's hard to beat. I ordered one for a range toy, and the occasional hog hunt.
