That may not be pink.  It may be magenta.

And just how in the hell did you get a bayo onto an AR-10?

Just curious.

Oh, and one more thing...why?

It is a sercret on how I got it on there.... No, I bought a gas block bay. lug from Armalite and then I went to world wide knives on line and bought an Ontario Knives bayonet.

As to the second question of why.... I don't store my gun with the knife and rarely do I shoot with it on.  I got it to exercise my rights.  If the assault rifle ban would be re-enstated, I would no longer have the option to do so, but now I'm grandfathered.  It is a bit much, but it gets people's attention at the range, and I think it looks bad ass.

Have you ever seen one of those "when animals attack" movies.  If I'm snoozing in my blind and a deer charges, I might need it!!!

I view a bayonet lug on an AR10 like I do on my Mossberg 590A1....

The firearm is simply an accessory to the blade.  That...and it serves as a very handy bayonet retrieval device should your knife get stuck inside your target.

Here's and updated pic with the TA11E mounted.

Just picked her up on Thursday. My first AR10, already have a TA11E on the way from CSGunworks. She'll be a nice companion to my LTR. Have the appointment set up for her visit to the gunsmith to take some weight off (about 4") and thread the barrel for a vortex.

"Because I can" is plenty good enough for me brother man.  Think of all of the years of oppression.

Treadmarks: Sweet rig! Did you have the stepped barrel custom done, or were you one of the guys lucky enough to get your paws on the AR-10 SOF when they were still making them?

10-4!  She's as tactical as they come.  Her greatest skill is food scrap eradication and nocturnal phantom turd distributer.  In all my years with Kita, I've seen her poop only twice.

She sure does love that AR10 though.

Nice dog, Hokie.
It seems that we both have AR10's and Black Labs...

I call "Bones" my $2000 dog.

He went through knee surgery (ACL) last year, and when he was a pup, he cruised full-bore into a standing faucet in the backyard, ripping open his chest...$500 worth.

He cost MORE than my AR10!!!

I'll come back to this thread sometime with pix of both.

Here is my AR10T after GA Precision got their hands on the upper. Couldn't be happier with the work done by them. The sexy beast off to the side would be the one and only Burliegh, my boxweiler.

You can see more pics of the rifle and details of what GA Precision did HERE.

m4hk33,

Wicked setup, but I'M wondering about the muzzle attachment.  I looks like it might kick up a little dust with that big slice on the bottom.

Nice firearm.
You've managed to raise a few good questions with the pix!

ok, to answer some questions?

hookie, it might be the rail system that you think it is? it is the ARMS 53 MVR( which i think is ia poor design), still waiting on DD or larue for a more traditional rail

bigbore, the troy buis is fine mounted on the GB, it was shooting about three foot high when mounted on top of the rail, mounting it lower worked out perfectly when the rear was mounted was mounted on the receiver,

eye relief as a result of how big my scope is it does not allow me to do two things, the first is unless i choose to use ultra high rings on the elevated optical platform of my rail system, the rear bezzle gets in the way, so i have to mount the scope far enough back to clear the rear portion or the rail, and second does not allow me to use my larue MK11 scope mount that would allow me to run the rear buis with the scope and at the same time allow mw to have the scope pushed forward to the correct position on the weapon, so for now the stock is in the farthest position , its ok for now but hopefully DD or larue will fix it soon

the break, although it may look like it throws dust but actually it doesn’t,

in short, it’s a great weapon but getting a DD or Larue rail will solve all of the issues you guys pointed out, the arms rail seams to be the root of all the issues that have come up, accurate sub .5 moa gun that is reliable, couldn’t ask for anything more, put about a hundred match rounds through it, and it averaged about .33, works well off of CORbon175 and FED 173, for some reason the worst group came from hornaday AMAXs wiith .52,

oh it weighs about 17lbs unloaded! how about that! the thing is solid

still waiting on the optics and few other things to arrive but,  she seems to be coming together well so far.

Finally got mine finished up after the ban.  ADCO did the barrel work, METALOY the chrome, the flash suppressor was done by Mongo, and the furniture is a custom paint job.

That is what I think an AR-10 should be, or something along those lines.  Even so, will build a rat space gun one of these days.........
