For you guys that have this setup, what do you think of it, would you use another? I've used plenty of 12-13 inch rails but thinking about a 15 this time. Any pics are appreciated.

thank you, this was my first build. I lurked this site for months researching. Couldn't be happier.

Is my favorite config. Longest distance possible for irons, gets lights/etc far enough out for a good hold and unobscured light projection. I used keymod for lighter weight, but mlok would have been just as acceptable in that regard.

I like the look of a 15in rail on a 16in barrel. Top pic has 15in rail on top and 12in on botto, both barrels are 16in. Bottom pic is 15in rail on 16in barrel.

I don't have a picture of mine right now, but it is very similar to some of the other rifles in this thread. I have a 16 inch stretch 16 barrel under a 15 in BCM KMR rail. I really like it. I use it for 3 gun. Having such a long rail makes it so I don't have to worry as much about resting the barrel on a barricade during a stage.

I'm really liking the MI mlok rail for the weight but wouldn't mind waiting for the BCM in mlok. Has anyone heard a release day for it yet?

I really like my 15'' FF keymod on my Colt upper & lower w/ FN mid length Barrel http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd499/fly105/DSCF8340_zps1vfjzynu.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd499/fly105/DSCF8341_zpsndcedbab.jpg View Quote |

i have a 15" troy on a 16" barrel, and my game gun is 15" on an 18" barrel. they didn't make longer at the time. If you go light weight, you don't get to be muzzle heavy, you can mount the stuff you actually use at a good place (irons or lights) and you can brace up against stuff for improvised rests. plus there's less chance of grabbing too far and taking a hot barrel to the hand meat. which sucks.

I just picked up my 15 inch MI lightweight mlok, now just need a barrel, lpk and reciever extension.

As of right now, I have a Faxon Gunner 16 inch with a spikes upper and a lightweight 15 inch MI mlok rail. I have a spikes lower, with lpk but not assembled yet. And still need a fh and gas tube.

I just put together a 16" rifle with a 15" handguard and I like the set up. I can put my hand where it feels most comfortable for me and still have room to mount the light in front of my hand.

I like mine, I run most of my rifles within an inch of the muzzle. Sbr's included. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/M4-AR/DBB66AD4-7391-4408-BD7E-6EA0F6619F12.png http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/M4-AR/DD678E70-C535-4AE8-A5A4-F96A617A255D.jpg View Quote |

Since PB took a dump. And I have since added the mlok type 1 covers and went with a VG6 Gamma muzzle device.

I dig the look...that's why I've been slowly building a FDE 16 inch & want 15 inch rail.
Anyone have experience with the PARALLAX TACTICAL FFSSR GEN/3 15' ? But making multiple vendors match the same shade of FDE is frustrating! Probably wind up Kryloning everything eventually. Nice rifles gents! |
