So hope this is in the right place for discussion or questions explanations.  I did a search on here and couldn't find anything about it.

I saw this Strike Industries Megafin Featureless Grip today and am wondering what the purpose of it is.  It doesn't look comfortable, no I haven't had a hand on one, just trying to understand it.  
Is this a new California compliance item?

Interesting design and no i dont agree with their short sighted view against guns.  However at least the industry is finding ways to comply.
