Still deciding on what sort of clone rifle to make my Colt 6920. Been debating going with a KAC M4 Carbine RAS rail or a DD RIS II block 2 build.
Planning on throwing an Acog RCO onto the rifle.

I think it makes a difference, you eliminate any POI shift from using a sling, rest etc. Plus in your situation you have the extra rail estate to mount lights/lasers further down the rail, have a longer iron sight radius and place your hand further out if that's your shooting style.
I'm fairly certain Molon has a thread on the differences between free floated vs non free floated.

Plus Block II rifles look nice when wearing ACOGs (my rifle when I had the ACOG on there)

It won't make it any more accurate. It will reduce the chance of POI shift from a rest/barrier/sling

It will likely improve consistency much more so than accuracy.
