Here's a semi-updated picture of the gun I posted back on page 1. It's been an excellent rifle, but I've been considering swapping the URX for one of the newer generation of lighter weight rails. Almost seems like plotting to kill a family member, though.

Old pic.  Got rid of the EOTech and patiently waiting on the Vortex UH-1 but debating on getting an MRO instead.

This rifle was redone yesterday as I swapped the URX3 Rifle Handguard off it and installed the URX2 10.75" over the KAC SR-15 M4 barrel.  It also has a KAC Aimpoint 30mm mount, 300m rear sight, 2 taupe VB 11-rib panels, and a KAC A2 taupe grip.

The SR-15 M4 barrel was purchased from Geno a while ago and cut to 14.5" and the YHM QD Brake pinned and welded.

Long sold...but another SR-25 will replace it some day.

Doing a flush URX install, complete with boring out the barrel nut. Have to be extra careful on this one to not mar up the beautiful Carekote finish.

One thing I've learned over the years is to not get rid of any of my KAC parts cause it's bitten me in the arse twice already. Aint trying to strike out unless things get rough for me financially. I also have a BNIB RAS 870 rail, Tear Drop Trigger Guard, and quite a few other misc KAC items sitting in the parts bin for a rainy day builds..Heck, I had two standard trigger guards I bought back in 2009 and just happen to pick up two of the lowers recently released and they came in very handy. LOL..

No worries.  I ended up grabbing one an SR16 upper from Brownell's.

I traded one, and sold 1.

I'd be hard pressed to unload any more.

What are you going to build?

Basically this. Not sure if I want to find a dimpled mod 1 upper or just use it with another brand of rifle.

That would be a really cool gun with a dimpled barrel under the URX3.

Go for it
