I'm on the never ending handguard search to complete my build. I wanted a VTAC Alpha rail until I started reading all the herp derp around here surrounding Troy. I can get a VTAC Alpha 15" for about $169. I haven't found anything else in that length that's close to that price that I like. The closest I've come is the Odin Works 15.5. I haven't really heard of them, so I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with their handguards. Or, if anybody could recommend me some alternatives before I end up saying eff it and going with the VTAC. Thanks in advance guys.

i don't know much about odin works but i am looking at buying barrels from them and almost everything i could find was positive.

but you might look at these guys they are in the next town over. odin is in Boise Idaho and vengeance arms is in Nampa Idaho. vengeance arms make modular rails in nine inch lengths but have three and five inch pieces that you can add to get the length you want and have a pretty cool end cap to finish it off. and all the holes along the bottom accept quick release sling swivel studs so you can attach your sling where ever you want. i am looking at one for one of my builds. they also build high end rifles too.

I built this using their barrel and 15.5" kmod handguard.  You wouldn't believe how light this whole gun is unless you picked it up.  The 15.5" handguard weighs something like 11oz, it is absolutely insane

I'm running one of these on a build I am doing. the chevrons in he rail actually provide a decent "grip/bite" into your hand when you pull the rifle to your shoulder.  on a 16 inch barrel the 15.5 comes right to the base of the muzzle device and looks awesome. Mounted up very solid, comes with a keymod rail panel so bonus points there.  There are a few small tool/machining marks on the flat of the back in one spot (perpendicular to the screws going into the barrel nut) but since it is black and the rest is flawless its hard to notice unless you are looking for it.  I'll post some better pics and info once I am done with it.
