I like the way they look, but im having problems justifying the price, are they really worth it?

They are. I've used standard M4 stock (old and new style), CTR, SOPMOD, and MOE. I settled on the UBR as it balances a long railed, 16" rifle very well. Even though the overall weight is heavier, the better balance makes the rifle handle much better. The preset feature is pretty cool.

It's vewy vewy heavy.

If you're not looking to add weight to balance a heavy rifle, seek something else. The CTR is a medium weight stock, and the new ACS I think is in between.

So evaluate your needs. I've got an 18 LaRue Stealth with a full length rail. It balances perfectly, but it's not handy.

Are they as heavy as a PRS?

These are my last 2 builds...as you can see with UBRs.  I would imagine the next, then the next and so forth will have an UBR on it as well.  They would be worth $350 imho, what else comes close to locking up like a A2 fixed stock all the while being perhaps more adjustable than any other adjustable stock out there.  Lastly for me and perhaps the clincher is the looks....sexy!!!!

CHEEK WELD for me at least is like butter.

At least you can find them reasonably cheap unlike last year.

I think it's the best stock I've ever used (not that I'm some expert) given that it fits the balance of your rifle properly.

+1

Now, how about the promised aluminum strike plate for the UBR....?

I love both of mine. They do add some weight so for a SBR or L/W upper the weight is noticable otherwise they are  GTG. It would be nice if they could make one that is the same but only lighter. If they could I would only have UBR's on my guns, other than my plain jane 20" A2.

I had one and sold it.  It was WAY too heavy for my application and I didn't like the fact that the swivel cups didn't limit rotation.

However, it is nicely made and super solid.  I imagine it would work well in certain applications.
