it's a BRS47 by Billet Rifle Systems. it doesn't look to bad but it can potentially crack and get worse. What are you technical houghts? They're offering a 30 percent discount

and this is what the actual complete lower looks like unblemished;

Is that a scuff or is that a hole that goes all the way through in the first picture?

Pretty sure it's a hole. They said this is the last 100 percent they have that just finished cerakote. Otherwise I have to wait for the next batch. I ordered about two weeks ago.

The customer service guy said they milled it a little too deep and didn't notice until after cerakote.

I'd wait for a new one.

I think they should offer you much more than a 30% discount IMO.

I know bad things sneak out everywhere but if it takes a through hole before they notice it is flawed...

I would be concerned about the rest of the milling depths.
If it wasn't in the jig correctly and it caused that , then what other issues are there.
What we see is just the break through of the worst area.
What about the area that is just thick enough to not show light?

That isn't a blem, it is a structural defect.  There is a big difference between the two.

Yep.

They should give it to you or scrap it.

I would not buy, and I would not wait. I would find another source/product. Besides not catching THAT problem on that piece, what else may they be letting through their QC on any other pieces that may not be just visual but out of spec?
Plus, it may just be the pictures, but, I don't like how thin it looks in the front pivot pin area,

Unless it was like almost free I would avoid it

It is scrap.  Blems are one thing, but having your company name out there on a lower with a hole in it is not good business.

PSA blem x47 lowers are $150.

Non-structural area.

Why would you want your company name on something like that?

"Blems" refer to cosmetic blemishes that don't affect function. That isn't cosmetic and very well could affect function in the long run. I wouldn't touch it personally.

Thank you for the replies.  I emailed them yesterday and now have to wait until the end of October.  Oh well, hopefully they don't push it back again.
