This has been  my sole AR rifle for decades. It has certainly evolved, but tends to stay about a decade behind the times. I love it.

This has been my main home D gun for the past several years. It's in a "firearm" configuration that looks a bit awkward but is quite rifle-like in handling and performance.

It fits perfectly in this case, with 4 mags full of Barnes vortex supers. http://store.ar15.com/product.html?cat=24&pr=572 I took the patch off the front of the case and its very unsuspecting because it is so small.

I've only ever had 1 AR at a time (finally just started my 2nd) - and technically it has all evolved from a DDm4v1.

I posted my SHTF HD carbine before but Photobucket are messed up.

Mostly known reliable gun and components:

Colt 6920 M4 carbine
KAC M4 RAS rail system
KAC 300 m folding rear BUIS
BCM GF ambi CH
BCM bolt extractor upgrade spring
B5 Systems grip
B5 BRAVO SOPMOD buttstock
Aimpoint comp M2 on LaRue Tactical cantilever QD lever mount
Surefire M951 weaponlight
Vickers VCAS BFG two point sling with metal slider
Magpul PMAG

My indoor HD is my Steyr AUG A1 16" barrel carbine with optional factory NATO stock that uses M-16/ AR-15 mags.

There are low profile iron sights on top of the scope for CQB use.

Posting this here as it is for home defense and the Mk18 CQBR topic guys don’t like it over there AT ALL - so it started life as a Mk18 clone then I modified it to be a little smaller and better.  Now JAFSBR - 25.5-inches fully collapsed - 10.5-inch LMT upper, LMT lower, LWRC ultra-compact adjustable stock, adjustable RMR in AMS Machine mounts, Magpul angled grip, Surefire Miniscout light, and Yankee Hill flip up rear sight just in case with 20-round P-mags.  Again not a Mk18 clone anymore but I like it.

Very cool on both accounts. Loving the old school AUG. No light though?
Pic thread:
I had this puppy all decked out (with suppressor) and used it as my HD gun for a hot minute. But I found myself, reverting back to my AUG below.

May swap the scope for  flattop and the barrel.

@Jack_Flag

No light on pre ban '89 and original AUG carbines and rifles because they have no rail mounts, I could tape my handheld Surefire light to the scope tube but it's easier to just use the AUG in daylight and use the AR with light at night.

Pic thread:

Here's my other pre ban '89 original AUG A1 20" rifle which is the older sister of your newer model AUG rifle, it's slightly longer than my AUG A1 carbine so I don't use it inside the house.

My other M4gery HD backup carbine with weaponlight peeking behind the FSB and Magpul furniture, my magnifier is usually flipped to the right side or removed, this one is mostly assigned to my outhouse/ toilet, LOL.
