I haven't shot the AR mags yet, but I did test the coupler. When dropped from 3 feet, they partially decouple, and spit out one round a piece. But when changing mags, they seem to be rock solid. I did test the 22 round Glock mags last night, and they seem to work well.

What made you go with the AK in your personal vehicle? Price? I have an AMD-65 in mine now that I got pretty cheap a few years ago, back before AR's could be found under $500.

Feel free to post more pics of the AR, carrier, and go-bag if you're allowed. I love seeing how everyone has that kind of stuff set up.

You are correct Sir.  I just recently aquired the 10.3" MK18.  I took over HD duty for my 6933.  I am so used to referring to my HD Colt as a 6933 that I goofed.  I will pull the 6933 out this weekend and post some photos.  They are my two favorite rifles.  Thanks

The underfolder fits better but it is being replaced with a Cav Arms One Piece Poly build. I paid cheap for the underfolder and will be selling soon.

Convenient spot for sure. The bag is a Maxpedition Mag Bag Triple. I keep three AR mags, a Glock 19 with two mags, a surefire, small multi-tool, MicroTech folder, tourniquet, torch lighter, spare set of glasses, and a couple of caylume sticks.

Different strokes and all that. Maybe the use of a suppressor with it won't work. But yes, as it stands now the Colt works perfectly fine for me and my home while inside as well as on the property. It's doable with the original fixed a2 stock. But with this Vltor stock. I gain (lose) at least about 1 1/2 inches on the overall length with the stock in the 3 position. I'm still messing with the stock, so it may go even shorter and still be comfortable for me. I know that SBR's and things are all the rage (for many good reasons) for HD guns. But everyone one is different. And everyone's home is different too. In the end, if the this gun with a suppressor doesn't work out. I can keep it in reserve and go back to my trusty Steyr AUG's, 9mm or 5.56.. Or even something else. :)

My main HD carbine, nothing fancy just things that are proven, I prefer 16" barrels just a personal preference, mostly I only add a 2 point sling, a light and a red dot sight.

Upper:
Colt 6920 M4 16"
KAC M4 RAS rails
Magpul XTM Enhanced panels & hand stop kit
Surefire M951 weaponlight
BCM ambi CH
KAC 300M rear BUIS
Aimpoint on LaRue LT129 cantilever QD mount
BCM extractor spring upgrade kit (not using the O-ring)

Lower:
Colt 6920 (older model marked "Sporter M4 Carbine")
LMT ambi selector
Norgon ambi mag catch
B5 Systems 23 P Grip
B5 Systems BRAVO SOPMOD stock
BFG Vickers 2 point sling with metal adjuster buckle and heavy duty push button sling swivels (BFG & Daniel Defense)
Magpul Gen 2 windows 30rd PMAG X 7
My first mag have Hornady TAP 75 the other 6 mags got American Eagle 5.56 XM855 green tips

My backup is my Steyr AUG A1 16" barrel carbine with factory NATO stock which uses M-16/AR-15 magazines.

I've got other 3 Colt carbines and one 20" rifle as backup but probably not use them, in an emergency I could have family, friends and neighbors use them.

Colt 11.5 SBR, pre SF Gen 3 Glock 20 with Surefire X300, and my older tact vest from work. I have to spare 30rd mags for the rifle, two spare 15rd mags for the G20, an old Surefire P90 with LED upgrade, and the large pouch where the flashlight is, the cell phone goes in there on speaker when I would call 911.
