A just finished Colt A1/C7 upper w/a tear drop forward assist attached to a Colt M4 14.5 gov profile 1/7 barrel non F marked FSP pinned to 16 w/a A2X fh.  The hand guard is a skinny 6 hole.
The BCG is a Colt f.a. w/a BCM Mod4 ch. The lower is a 2013 Colt M4 carbine w/a H buffer and a CQD ambi sling mount . The stock is a unmarked CAR.
Looking forward to getting it out on Saturday and dialed in.

Edit: Got it out and dialed it in at 50 yards off hand. The Colt was 4 clicks down and 3 right firing some Perfecta .223 55 grain ammo but, it fed, fired and ejected flawlessly to 3 O'clock about 6 feet out. It locked back on an empty mag every time using either Colt 33710 usgi mags or Pmags of 2nd. & 3rd. Gen. Grouping was fairly decent but could have been better if I had been more focused on precision then weapon function.

In summary, this little carbine just flat out rocks! perfect balance, light and gets the job done. All I could hope for in this build.

Nice!  Very clean

I have the exact same build going on.  All I lack is the skinny handguard, lo pro delta, and CAR to complete my parts

Love the look now you need an aimpoint on top and surefire hanging the barrel.

Thanks! the 6 hole hand guard was pure luck. I mentioned my build to a local that happened to have a set on his build that he was changing over to a free float, I got the set off him for a steal.

I could rob the parts from its little brother for a photo op
I am scouring the EE for another handguard and CAR, that is where I scored the last ones

I'd hit up the retro forum guys if you really want to bypass the hordes , my car stock was a trade I did a while back from a member here.

Umm no. Defeats the purpose. He already has AR's for that type of work.

Turned out perfect foot. After running my teardrop FA for a while now, I'll prob never go back to a round head.

I'm really diggin' on the tear drop fa, I only have 1 prob and that's the CQD being enough close to it that I'll have to watch it if I ever do have to slap the assist.

Because the FA is such an important and often needed/utilized part and all?

Not sure I've used one totaling even three times in all my days.

Check out what I threw together with that A2 upper I had laying around. I realized I had all the parts to build a 727 ish build with only $10 bucks spent on a D-ring, literally everything else I realized I had.

Drilled/reamed/pinned the Colt FSB and bbl myself. It's a 16" but fuck it.

Nice!  I slapped a A2 detachable carry handle onto the PSA FN chf 14.7 upper I just got. I'll post pics of that one after it gets pinned since that one comes non pinned from PSA. This'll be my SOPMOD PR 1.5 upper since the barrel is a M4A1 profile and I have a KAC RAS and some Block II stuff laying around.

Very nice bro! Builds coming out our ears.
After the 99051 and a 1911 I need to pick up a Colt lower for ^that upper, since it will have to use a POS polymer 80 lower I milled until then. AND THEN, ill build another block I.  As if my wallet wasnt already flat enough

Definitely doesnt get much use, but ill never build an AR without one. You get enough sand in the action you'll be glad you had one. But speaking off of feel, I prefer the teardrop to the small round head. Never owned a large round head FA tho.

While it sucks that I had to break up my 727, I'm glad the barrel ended up on another retro build.

Very nicely done

What you have, for the most part, is representative of a late model 723.

Just what I had in mind when I started the parts round up. Just not a perfect enough copy of the RO723 to post in the retro forum w/o getting bashed for the lower. delta ring, cqd..
