Any reason why a pinned BCM Gunfighter comp can't be safely removed from a BFH barrel? I know this has been covered here before, but just wanted to double check.

Who can I trust to do said work? ADCO? Or is this something that I could do with my Dremel?

Pretty certain based on the numerous reviews that you can trust ADCO with whatever you send them.

Yep, I have done it.  You can grind it, and do it yourself, or ADCO can certainly do it for you

I just did mines last weekend.  I cut down into the pin with a cutting disc on a Dremel in an X shape.  Once I saw the pin I was able to spin muzzle right off.  Didn't even hit the barrel threads.

That is what I was thinking. The weld is very much exposed and sloppy on my BCM. Cut an 'X' into it with a Dremel thin-metal cutting wheel. Once you cut into the pin (through the weld), is it safe to put a wrench on it and start wiggling loose? I've read that the pin usually will not fall out...so does it back out far enough to get it out of the hole that was drilled into the threads of the barrel?

Mine fell out of my BCM after carefully grinding about half way through the flash hider in that area. I did work it back and forth with a wrench, and it fell out

I ground mine off to expose the entire pin then flipped it upside down and smacked the back side with a rubber mallet.  The pin dropped right out.

Tag.

I have gone back and forth if I should remove my pinned Battlecomp 1.5 (pinned factory upper from DD) and pin on an A2X (already purchased) ...

Had this upper a few years and not sure I like having a comp on a defensive rifle (unsuppressed).

Yeah just give it a twist and you'll know whether it'll break loose or not.  My pin did not fall out but I saw the outline of it after x-ing it and just give it the wrench and it spun right off with no resistance.  I almost feel like the pin wasn't even in the barrel and this was professionally done.  Kinda makes me wish I should've tried to spin the flash hider off first and try and save it.  Oh well.  I'm going to pin and weld my replacement muzzle today.

Simple. You just have to basically destroy the muzzle device. Id feel alot better about removing a pinned A2X than a pinned comp for obvious reasons
