Should have saved some money and went G2S.
They feel the same and can be found for ~136.

Great trigger. Most of my rifles have some flavor of Geissele or ALG trigger in them.

I can tell how you feel OP. I went from what i thought was a great single stage trigger to a NSNM-DMR. needless to say, each rifle from now on is getting a minimum SSA-E.

I prefer the SD triggers, but they are all nice.
I am most recently very impressed with the Super Sabra as well.

Just ordered my 6th SSA-E trigger. What a difference they make in shooting decent groups. I also have an SDE trigger on my OBR. Not sure I like the flat trigger.
|

I have 4 SD-Cs', and just put an SD-E in a lower build thats not finished yet. Can't wait to try it.

Would the ssa be good for an all around duty/hunting ar? Was looking at the spikes trig just for a low cost tirgger upgrade. But if the extra $$ is worth it I'll just save a little longer.
Did you get the flat trigger I'm curious on how the flat compares to the curved. |

Also kept 50 yard standing groups easily on an 8 inch plate - 15 shots (1 shot every 3/4 second). Great trigger. |

Sorry man, but you screwed up. You will never be happy with any other triggers now, break out the credit card.

I dropped an SSA on my SBR; kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Thinking of dropping an SSA-E on my Noveske lower.
|
|
I have the SSA and the SSA-E
The SSA is great, and is the choice for a combat carbine. The SSA-E is AMAZING, and fills the DMR role perfectly. (I also have an S3G, and for a CQB weapon, it's pretty much the best. A lot of people hype the S3GD... I've never tried one, since I'm fine with a curved trigger.) |

I guess what I was trying to say is that I have used all our triggers at some point and one my rifles still has a G2S in it and I have all confidence that it will not fail. 90% of my rifles have the SSA and folks will not be able to tell the difference between a SSA or a G2S.

Great choice. I already have 1 SD-E for a soon-to-be scoped AR, and I'm trying to decide on what to put in a general purpose midlength. Seriously trying to decide between a S3G or just save some money and get a G2S.

The LMT is much better. The SSA makes them both feel like the other two are dragging a stick through a gravel tar pit. I have KAC micros, Raptor CH, upgraded muzzle device...the SSA is the best upgrade by far. |

This thread finally pushed me over the edge... I've been putting off ordering one for too long now.

Should have saved some money and went G2S. They feel the same and can be found for ~136. Got the SSA for 188.00 shipped. Not bad. Trading Place Pawn, Huh ? I have bought a few SSA-E from them for $194 shipped. Cheapest place I have found. |

I have an SSA-E in my A4 clone, It really IS "all that." My SBR has an ALG ACT, and it's amazingly smooth, crisp and light for a standard-style single-stage. Yes, I can sure tell the difference between the two, but I'm still in the "different triggers for different purposes" camp.
OP, you really are lost. You'll want at least G2S triggers in everything. And when you get an SSA-E and compare it to your SSA.....well let's just say that you won't have any spending money for a while. |

Just installed an SSA in my DD v5 yesterday, no range play yet but am definitely chomping at the bits

You're very generous in describing the LMT single stage as adequate, unless my two specimens were made on "buff the trigger with 40 grit" day.
My LMTs also sport SSA triggers now. |

I'm convinced, I think I'll finally get one. I've been dealing with the crappier than usual mil-spec trigger for a while. Feels like a 10lbs pull. A new trigger is just always the last thing I want to spend money on. Why did you shoot that poor dog?

Read up and see what your PD will allow you to use, as cops we both know department regulations don't always make sense, so sometimes we have to just go with what we are allowed. |

Nice hog! Any details on the hunt?
The SSA is probably my favorite do all trigger. It's the most versatile, all-in-one trigger Geissele offers. It does everything well, and if I had to chose just one trigger for all of my ARs, no matter their purpose, I'd choose the SSA. Now, that's not to say I don't LOVE my Hi-speed NM DMR. For a hunting or precision rig, it's the cat's pajamas. |

My cousin, as competent as he is with computers and shit, isn't too competent when it came to the rifle so, he had me look at it when it wasn't working properly (it was just that he never cleaned or lubed it from the factory). Anyways, I run SSAs on all of my rifles and I assumed that this trigger was the SSA as well. I thought it felt like shit. The second stage just wasn't as good (still a good trigger but not AS good as what I expected based on my experience). I put trigger grease on it. Put a few hundred rounds on it and repeated the cleaning/greasing process and it still didn't feel right. I figured it just was somewhat of a dud. Wasn't until a month or so later that I found out that they are GS2s... which, to me, clearly aren't SSAs. |
