Because this thread spreads like wildfire, takes years to catch up. I think if I get rid of my EXPS3-0 will depend if SOCOM replaces them. Mine is a little over a year old, and I was deployed for half that, and the other half I've maybe had it out twice. Mine with it's G33 work fine, haven't shot it enough to notice any of the other issues. I think another Elcan would be nice, but there's no way I could find/afford another SU-230. I wonder however, if this EoTech crap is mostly hype with the 553, or are people having issues with the XPS/EXPS series too?

Most of the pics I have of them they were running them on 14.5" with Samson rails (State Guard funded, not SOCOM). There were one or two in block 2 10.3" URGs. And DAMN do I need more screws for that rail, lol. DD screwed me and only gave me 3. It's technically on there pretty damn good, and isn't going anywhere, but it's just an eyesore with that one screw missing and I'd even like to get the two more to fill up the extra holes. Damn, I gotta make so many calls. I gotta call DD to see if they will send me three more screws, I gotta call Eotech to get this damn thing fixed, I gotta call AAC to see if they can fix my baffle strike, and there's other people I need to call to that I can't even remember now, lol. Oh,...I think I was gonna call Surefire about that melting of my cable (still works, but would like to know what to put on it so it stops), and to see if I could finagle them into sending me a 4P if I blew them.

I did meet him while I was in 5th and at the All Army Matches at Benninng in 05'. He was in the 75th Rangers there and we got squaded together the whole week. He would shoot and I would spot/observe for him and vice versa. He shot a M16A2 and I shot my go to war M4A1 both in stock configuration to 500 yds (I won a case of Mk262 ammo that time). Second time I meet him was when he was in the 18B course at Bragg with my son. My son would bring him over to the house and we would shoot together. Last time I saw him was when he was in Robin Sage and I was an instructor there. Both boys gradulated the Q course, small world at times. CD |

I got an exps not too long ago and if the ships going down I'd like to get out while I can Had a ODA that had to turn their Elcans in for some reason before deploying so they came down range with their older TA01NSN earlier this year. Most of the pics I have of them they were running them on 14.5" with Samson rails (State Guard funded, not SOCOM). There were one or two in block 2 10.3" URGs. edit: just got a 552, and the mro is gone. so im kinda correct, minus the rattle can to hide my black dd rail. side note. i have an old school lmt + old school fsp dd rail. should i break it up to make a mod 0 or just sell it off and put together a 10.3 mod 0? kinda liking that the old school lmts are hard to find now. and thanks for the 552 pics CD |

Built the middle upper today with a Govt profile 14.5" bbl. Top has a SOCOM 14.5" bbl, bottom has a 10.3" Govt profile bbl. All barrels are Colt 1/7. Of course the BCG is inside the receivers, head spaced.

I just emailed Caroline at Daniel Defense because I lost my screws and my DD barrel nut wrench was deformed. She shipped me out 6 new screws and a new wrench free of charge. DD customer service is the tits. On a side note, LMT customer service is the best I've ever experienced. I bought a brand new lower from an LMT distributor recently. It came all banged up and overall shitty looking - definitely not new. I called LMT direct, and they swapped me out for a brand new one. No questions asked. Bigger tits. |
