Any of you light weighters know what a complete bcm kmr 11.5 upper with 10" kmr weighs? I figured I'd ask here first before starting a new thread.

Google BAD OIP Rifle. Many, including myself, would not be able to use our optics the way we'd prefer with that setup; besides the other issues of no port door capability and crud getting in the magwell. The BAD recievers on their website you linked to look legit to me.

How do you like that stock without a recoil pad?

I made the mistake of trying that with a CTR, and it felt like someone was taking a saw to my shoulder. Needless to say, the recoil pad went back on.

There's hardly any recoil at all with the adjustable gas block set correctly. I've only shot it so far with PMC Bronze 55gr and set it to just cycle with those. I need to try it out with XM193 next to see how it handles hotter loads and get it dialed in a little better.

That has nothing to do with the carpet! It has to do with the static in the carpet....

It doesn't make a shit difference with my scale. 5lbs. 6oz. on wood, carpet, concrete, or ceramic. Most of us can also zero our scale to read a negative zero, and then weigh. Which makes whatever is being weighed look way lighter.

If you really want to see a light rifle. Let me take 4lbs. off the zero! Can we say 1lb. 8oz. rifle ready to rock....

Can anyone recommend a shop/smith that permanently attaches titanium muzzle devices?

I usually use ADCO, but they don't do titanium.

Thanks.

That is the saber tube.  At the end where the butt clamps on it is a smaller OD.  IMO,  a regular rifle RE wold be lighter & better since if you make the RE stronger the weak point becomes the lower receiver.

Not finished yet, but as she sits right now:

Still to get:

SLR .625 adjustable
gas tube
V7 a2 birdcage (standard, not extended....that's a 16" faxon tube)
ALG QMS
irons

All told, the missing stuff should add around 5-6 ounces.

if i'm right at the cusp of 5 pounds even, i'll probably trade out some lower parts for V7 ti stuff.

does anyone make UHMW buffer weights, or maybe aluminum ones?

Once it's done, I'll get a few snaps with the digital slr and toss em on the facetubes, with a proper tag.

I may break down and get MBUS since they're so light. The full set weighs as much as the troy fixed rear i was planning on.

Not a huge fan of the shape and all, but wtf....i can always swap with my 5.5 pounder if i get really sick of em.

"Ultra High Molecular Weight" AKA polymer. Why not just replace the buffer with the taccom set.

Or just take the weight out of a regular carbine buffer. They weigh 1oz. when you do that. Same as the Taccom set I believe.

I'd like to keep it functioning as intended with a weight shift if possible.

I understand that. But you do know those weights are for full auto bolt bounce, right? They do absolutely nothing on a semi auto.
