I built a Block II FSB about two years ago but honestly wasn't impressed with it as much as others on here all. Granted I'm sure someone here would like to club me like a Japanese fisherman clubbing a baby seal for saying that, but it never really intrigued me as much as a nicely built Block I variant. Though I do have a M16A2 clone which is near and dear to my heart. Guess I only want to build clone rifles of those I personally handled will I was in the service, but to each their own I've already got two, both built with early Colt Expanse rifles when they came with 6920 lowers. One rocks a N1 and the other a Colt waffle. I've thought about building a third, but at same time want to buy my optics for the other two first (AimPoint and Acog) |

The block 1 setup is just more simple and usually lighter. Not free floated. It just feels more like a 14.5 carbine to me. 10.3s on the other hand, I prefer the block 2 setup for all roles |
