Maybe someone here can lead me in the right direction. I have a NSW Block II DMR built(waiting on an RC2) and I’ve seen multiple insta posts referring to the DMR being heavily used in the Battle of Mosul. Anyone have any reference material or details about its use? Just find it interesting.

Well, hopefully these actually come as described. You know,  WITH a FSB.

For Block I replacement 14.5” M4/M4A1 barrels by CAPCO Cage Code 04099. Government Profile or SOCOM. CAPCO had a contract for barrels before they closed up. The also made KAC RAS handguards IIRC.

New Old Stock

@Lsujon, thanks man. I figured if anyone would answer it’d be you. I’ve seen a lot of the photos, was hoping there may be some reading material out there!

Yeah unfortunately there really isn't. At least not specific to that weapons employment.

The 74" are harder to find than the 54", but if you look around you can still find them.

If you decide you want an aimpoint, I have a brand new aimpoint pro with a qrp 1 mount and the older battery and adjustment covers just sitting here. I mounted it then swapped for the acog.

I’ll keep you in mind. I’m leaning ACOG too though.

I had a TA01NSN with JPoint a decade ago. Wish I had held on to it now.

I can understand that. I went with a ta31-ch-g because I wanted the tao1nsn but wanted fiber optic as well. Thus gives me the crisshair as well as green fiber optics.

Anyone know what size rib panels I need on the bottom to place a KAC broomstick right in the middle of a RAS?

Here are the pics. I don't have the broom handle centered as I have pretty large hands and like to grasp it like a grip stop.

IIRC to get center of the rail with the KAC VFG you would need two 3 rib rails which would have to be cut to that length as the standard kit comes with 2x 2 rib, 1x 4 rib, 2x 6 rib and 4x 11 rib.  Other option would be what Tarheel did which you have a rear or forward bias depending on how you placed the panels.

Yeah, I think I’ll just do the 2 and 4 rib then.

Anyone know where I can get some for a fair price?

Here in the EE is where I've always got the best deals for KAC panels. I buy all 9 panels and trim them down with a hacksaw and Dremel, it's hard to tell they aren't factory sizes.
