Interesting, it has a commercial radius forward of the latch, but otherwise looks like a military-style stock - never seen one quite like it before.

That one is a fairly conventional "commercial mold" M4-style stock - there are a bunch of detail differences, but the easiest to see is to compare the sling swivel slot on your stock versus the one on strm_trpr's Troy stock.

Anyways, doesn't really make that much of a difference - just an interesting combination of features I hadn't seen before, as I haven't really looked closely at the T-22.

Two recent finished builds. First one is a 14.5 pinned to 16 that I rattle-canned Kryptek. The second one is a recent build for my wife. Both are reposts just not in this thread.

The rattle can build was starting to be one of the guns I picked up the most to shoot, nearly beating out my 10.5 SBR. Pics...

Like I said, it's not as if it makes any difference, just a little observation.

Back to regularly scheduled 14.5" pinned to 16" content...

Yes, but takes too much work imo.

I'd have to be snowed in which we both know wont happen.

Any examples?

I feel the barrel would still have paint on it.

I only used it once on some hand-me-down gear, a Surefire M900 grip light with a couple coats of Krylon. It took almost everything off in one pass and didn't harm the metal, plastic, or rubber. I did have to make one more pass with a cleaning brush on the more dynamic surfaces and angles. But Cleanstrip it potent so read the warning labels about ventilation and skin contact.. DannerTrax

Thoughts on removing a pinned Izzy Brake from a Bushmaster upper?  I had a smith tell me it is a real pain in the ass to do without damaging the threads.  I want to add a Free float rail but not sure its worth it to send out and have done.
The other thought was to add either a Magpull hand guard or a drop in DD EZ Car rail.  Opinions?

I have only done one so far. I guestimated the thickness of the FH and drilled ontop of the pin. Then extremely slowly I used a cutoff wheel on the dremel to slowly cut a notch into the FH to the depth I though it needed to be. Once i cut the FH in half on one side, I hammered a flat head into the cut and slowly unthreaded it. I did end up going a little too deep and cut into the tops of the threads at one point but I got lucky and the new FL installed perfectly.

Its doable and I wouldn't hesitate doing it again but go slowly and keep trying it to avoid going to deep.

Or do what I did on a subsequent build was bought a VLTOR CASV-EL and called it a day. Free floating and a nice handguard to boot.
The DD EZCAR is a good rail too. Ran one for about a year.

Thank you.  I like it too.  Technically it's my Dad's.  But he never shoots it and I was planning on cleaning it up for him.  We used to shoot a lot together and I know he hadn't cleaned it since.  I also started a thread about shooting it.  You might have some good input:

Built it to mirror what I carried for years in the service.  Worked for me then and now.  The TWS-13 was burrowed from the manufacture before I went over to Thailand this year to teach them how to use it, wish I could have kept it of course!

My pair, (yes, sh*tty phone pics )

Specs;

Top: Upper I bought off the EE, DD 14.5" CHF barrel, carbine gas, pinned A2X, has a BCM BCG and Mod 4 charging handle; bought it about 3.5 years ago, added the R1 with IO cover on LT 660 and DD A1.5, came with the MI gas block mount, swapped a TLR1 for the G2L in a GG&G ring, VTAC padded sling, and went through a CAR handguard, MOE, back to CAR, and now to the MOE-SL, which is awesome. Usually on a Doublestar lower built with a DSG moe stock kit (great CS), H2 buffer, and AIM surplus stainless LPK. In the picture I think that's one of my Bushmaster lowers. AIM stainless has the best trigger of my 4 lowers. This is my trust-with-my-life-rifle. As it sits I think I have $1450 in it.

Bottom: Bushmaster factory MOE Patrolman lower and sling, BCM 14.5" standard midlength, pinned A2X, MOE handguards with IWC light mount and G2X-Tac, MBUS rear and Primary Arms PAC4x on ADM QD mount. I have a total of $967 in this rifle as it sits.
