Finished my ris iii build. This is what I think the urgi should have been. It's next to my block II. Think they are perfect together. Lighting isn't so great though.

Used the 14.5" mid length standard weight barrel. Not sure if that is the one they use on the urgi or not.

 Okay this is as far as I got. I think I had more fun putting this together than I did shooting it. (I know the lower isn’t correct, but this is my SBR lower and it gets around.) Built off of a LE6920 SBR Contract overrun 14.5” SOCOM barrel Surplus Surefire 4 prong (No NSN) Black Creek RIS II Gen 2 SU230 Insight MRDS with hood Contract overrun B5 SOPMOD Very cool, but I can see why they went to the URGI. |

He'll I wouldn't mind having another lmt gen 2 in tan to replace my fde b4 on my block II. I definitely prefer its color on my new build.

Thanks. @HammerForged Yes the Ac11030 What I did was remove the rds mount, put this cap on, then mark where the rds mount would sit on it and use an exacto knife to make a cut in the rubber. Works great and was easy. |

Apologies for the double post. I noticed that the RIS II rail had gone through a change on the bottom section. I’ve seen pics posted of the tail peeling down with the original bottom rail.
For those of you who have used the newer version of this rail with bipods, any issues or concerns with the current version and having a bipod attached near the end or using the bipod in that position as a barricade stop? |

So I'm sending my Colt M4A1 clone off to have the muzzle device changed to a SF 4 prong. And I was thinking, its so handy, would it be worth putting a RIS II FSP on....
So I started (trying) to do math and Google fu KAC RAS M4: 8.9 ounces Delta ring/barrel nut assembly: 2.5 ounces Handguard cap: .3 ounces Colt side sling swivel: could not find an accurate weight. 1-2 ounces? Total: 12.7-13.7 ounces. DD RIS II FSP: 17.1 ounces So a 4.4 to 5.4 ounce difference? Seems negligible to me, as I'm already using a SOCOM barrel, I guess it would be a big difference with a M4 profile barrel  .Does the math check out? |
