Range report from yesterday. Took my mod 1 and m110 forgery out and shot some 100 & 300 yrd groups. The Kreiger M110 barrel is accurate as hell. I wish I could say the same for the Douglas mk 12. All ammo was black hills 77 gr match in 5.56 and 175 SMK IN 308.
I'm wondering if the less than ideal eye relief on the A2 stocked mk 12 is causing these groups. Attached File That bottom right group is the best from the 308. Best group from the mk12 is the center circle in the top target. |

^^ It looks like your Mk262 groups aren't bad except for a flyer that screws each up; that leads me to think it's not necessarily the barrel. Eye relief is a notorious issue with the Mk12 though.
If you can shoot a few groups from a rest that should narrow it down. |

Is there a place selling foam cut for the MK12 cases? Sorry if it was posted before I haven't been able to keep track of this thread lately.

View Quote Also, AFAIK, the foam from mycasebuilder should be correct - the user (@Firejareen) worked with the company on several versions using issued foam as the sample to get it exactly right. The gif in the thread may not be exact (being a 5" representation of a 40x14" part), but supposedly the actual foam is. |

Damn, so many nice builds here, though a lot of pics from the first page are gone now after Photobucket took a shit.
I have a question - how bad will I be shunned for using a VX-R Patrol 3-9x40mm instead of the correct glass? $1,800 for a Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8x36mm is kind of a hard pill to swallow, not to mention damn near impossible to find. I'm guessing the answer is - go be poor somewhere else? |

If your looking in the $1800 range it's time to start looking at nightforce |

If your looking in the $1800 range it's time to start looking at nightforce Many of us have not clone correct rifles, I've never even bothered to install one of my wheeled front sights, much less get something besides the LMT Defender 2000 lower. And I don't even use the ARMS 22 rings, mainly because of PVS-22 compatibility, but also because they aren't the best choice for RTZ. M16 lower, you have got to be kidding, I'd rather have the NV and suppressors. Had my share of full auto years ago. Anything else is a clone. No A1 stock either, the SOPMOD suits me better due to adjustability. You can build the most clone or original spec rifle ever, if you want, and gun the heck out of it, or something you shoot. We've all been there. Not many M16 lowers around, none you can afford, so don't worry about it. |
