Got some 77gr 223 factory subs. Wanted to see if it could cycle the weapon with the can on. Shot an alder about 10"+ Dia at about 40ish yds. Punched a hole clean through.

Never noticed this one before:

NF A-101 1.00" height rings

NF A-107 1.125" height rings

I habe run both and the 1.125 are about .10 lower than ARMS 22m's and feel better shooting with.

Just verifying clone correct holland ring options

Everytime I see that gun in the top photo, I want a SOCOM stock even more.... Damn you, Blue!

Good eye on the NF rings, though.

Decided to move my thermal setup off of the 5.56 Holland & over to a 12.5" w/ the AEM2 to shave weight & shorten the OAL. Most of my thermal shooting is under 300 so no need for 16".

That rail was on eBay last week. The problem I think is you can not get the barrel nut and locking ring to use it. I think it's different than the current FF RAS long.

Put an AE5 in jail today, so the long wait begins.  Now I can start converting my "Inspired by MK12" Larue build over to a true clone in earnest... Other than the can, and oddly enough a Harris, all the parts are on hand patiently waiting in a build box.

Regarding the Harris, does it really matter which model is used?  I'll be using a 6-9 but sliding/notched legs, swivel/fixed, etc.  SBRM, 1A2, etc does it matter?

Side benefit, I'll wind up with pretty much a complete spare Larue 18" upper :).

It's a total guess just going off what geno said about having the parts to rebuild it and I'm almost certain that rail was sold on eBay last week. Not sure why someone would sell it so fast. I think for exactly what they paid. You can look it up on eBay. If there were two sniper marked FF RAS sold in a weeks time frame, both missing the barrel nut and ring that would be a hell of a coincidence. But yes I'm completely guessing. Did he say why he didn't use it?

That's my thought to get it back in shape but I'm confused why the seller would get rid of it at the price he paid. It obviously wasn't a flip.

I've never seen one of these come up so I'm curious about it.

Aaaaand it's complete Ready to see what you do with that bad boy.

I did find it interesting that it read "Armament Co" without Knights in there. Not sure why they left that out, but then again I dont have much experience with sniper marked ones.

If all it needs is a current production barrel nut from OP then what a score you have.

Indeed.

I can't believe that guy bought it from eBay and put it up for sale immediately. The only time I've seen this rail is on a complete KAC Match rifle.

ETA: Dan and Geno have confirmed it uses same hardware as current FF RAS systems.

I don't think I've ever seen one. I've seen a MATCH marked rail but that's the first sniper marked.
That is a hell of a score then.

  Indeed.

I can't believe that guy bought it from eBay and put it up for sale immediately. The only time I've seen this rail is on a complete KAC Match rifle.

I don't think I've ever seen one. I've seen a MATCH marked rail but that's the first sniper marked.

That is a hell of a score then.

A few slipped out as I understand. Sweet score USN!

This may be old news to everyone but I just noticed brownells has A R M S #32's in stock. 113.00 ish. You can pick up the Harris S-lever and the TRC while your ordering. A R M S has the TRR in stock along with the #38 S-Ex if anyone is looking. They have the #32 in stock as well but it's about 20 bucks more than brownells.

Thanks!  I always considered my mod 1 ways superior, but I have seen the light and the light is good!

Honestly I may not even add more paint I'm liking the used look of it, though I'll wear it in naturally.

(no relation to seller)

That rail was on eBay last week. The problem I think is you can not get the barrel nut and locking ring to use it. I think it's different than the current FF RAS long.

Saw that ad like a minute after it was posted, went back and forth in my head for a while before you snagged it

Like the Allegory of the Cave man you are still liven in the darkness; LMT stock is where it's at.  I originally tried the A1, but with the scope so far forward the collapsible stock lets me get into a more consistent position.

The A1 is now livin on the MOD 1.  The only pic I have is this one and it's a bad one, but I feel that it's a win on both accounts.

That little gem in the back is the only thing saving you.

A1's all around.

Except for an A2 on the SAM.

LOL HAHAHAHA that pic is so fucking sick.  You must have a bigger head then me, I just couldn't get the eye relief, otherwise she would be wearing one right now.  Besides didn't you just dismantle one of those for one of those mod-h monstrosities?

The eye relief on mk4's falls in the perfect spot for me with an A1. The SAM-R is a bit further back so it's a little tight, but the extra room on the A2 helps.

The Holland is just to round out the series. 0,1,H

So just FYI Brownells Alumahyde 2 is roughly as durable as spray paint. Everything scrapes it off.

Did you prep the surface before spraying and let it fully cure? If I remember right the longer Aluma-Hyde cures the harder it gets

I did. Degreased everything, then rubbing alcohol. Sprayed multiple light coats, let it set, then baked at 175 for 2 hours. Then set for several days in garage in Texas spring heat (80-85 12 hours a day). It's been 9 days for the rifle and less for the accessories but long enough to harden. It doesn't scratch with a fingernail but the lower has had nicks and dings from hitting the workbench and inserting mags.
