I want to go ahead and get the VXR and then I can save for the next piece of the puzzle.
If I do ever get the MK4 I can always upgrade the scope on my Grendel with the VXR. |

VX-R Patrol 3-9, LR/T 3.5-10, or pony up for a 2.5-8? I want something with enough power to shoot some (hopefully) sub MOA groups, but I also want to keep my holland as a nice compact rifle. Any suggestions? Keep in mind I've been doing this on a college budget so I can't drop 1k on a MK4 3.5-10. Its only mostly clone correct (upper, lower, and CH aren't spec) so an "almost clone correct" scope is totally fine with me especially if I can save a few bucks. I was going to use my SWFA 3-15 but it looks comically big on the gun.

The firedot TMR reticle is very clear. This is by far the nicest scope I have owned. All my other scopes have been cheap. Got it mounted in my ARMS M rings. Now to save for the PRI Gen III Handgaurd. |

IT was difficult getting a good sight picture with a camera phone and this scope's eye relief. Now to get out and hunt with this. Was so much fun out to 100ish yards under NODs. |

I ordered me a Brownells A1 today but yours just blows it away. Does anybodys FF RAS have some minimal play? I built mine (again) this morning due to OCD. Barrel but alignment was no problem and I used a strap wrench on the threaded lock ring to get good and snug. I got home and noticed that rail could wobble a little bit at the end. I confirmed barrel was not loose. I used the strap wrench to snug it a little more but there's just a hint of play still left. I may try snugging the locking ring one more time when I can get the upper in a vise. Anybody else do a build and there's one thing that just EATS at you until you fix it? |
