FIRST TIME PAGE OWNER F**K YEAH
Drove almost 2 hours to shoot some steel targets. After about 120 rounds hitting 2-500 yards I decided to test five different types of cheap match ammo with a really hot bore.
IMI 69gr and Australian out back 69gr won the game, both pmc xtac 77, ppu 69 and 75 are around 1-1.5 moa. IMI 69gr was constant giving me sub 3/4 moa group, Outback shoots fine overall and pulled the best group. I'm getting more of those and see what they could do with a cooler barrel.

I don't use locktite on my rings, never come loose on me, I could never find cbc stuff   they are always sold out and was shooting at a range at Havelock, NC, not in gay ass Cali anymore.

if your rings came loose you definitely did not tighten them down properly.

I ordered a Ballistic Advantage SPR Premium barrel for my mk12 against my wallets will.

I've been working on building a mod0 but now I'm thinking about a Mod1.

I can't make up my mind.

If you do a Mod 0 use the PRI retro parts.  The Mod 1 is a great choice if you have a FF RAS already on standby for the build.  Eventually you will want the full trifecta

Well my mod1 is progressing pretty decent I think. It shoots way better than I ever thought. And before anyone jumps on me for the scope it's just on there so I could shoot it. I've got one on order. I think it's pretty kosher any suggestions are welcomed. And I hope I can get this pic to post haha.

I read earlier in the thread that optics (for a mod Holland)...that optics were switched around after they made it to the end user. How loose are the parameters while still keeping in spec.also having a hard time finding pri rail.... Will I catch a bunch of flak with a urx rail?

Do not use a URX on a Mod 0 or H, or any MK12. PRI sales them everyday and the EE has them just keep your eyes out for one.

As far as optics, anything at the disposal of operators at that point is kosher. Mark 4 2.5-8 in the civilian world, Mark 4 3-10 with M3 knobs. NF x24 and x32, hell S&B short dot if you feeling wild.

If you can't find a current production, widely available item anywhere; the clone game ain't for you.

Mk4 3.5-10 M2 FDE is also gtg for Hollies. Let's not forget about our Special friend.
But yea, some are more forgiving than others in here...but you can't have the wrong Optics AND rail then try to call your ar15 a mk12. At that point, why even bother with a 16" barrel? 14.5 is way better. There are also many improvements on muzzle breaks over the past 15 years. Don't waste your $$ on that silly Ops break and collar for your mk12.

Pictured is the sunshade that came with my Leupold 10X M3A. I do have the correct tenebraex and killflash for my M24 build, that is interchangeable with this mk4 3.5-10 M2 so I'll slap it on from time to time. Not sure about the 40LTCC though, on the road right now and it's packed up in the back of my jeep

My PRI MK12 Mod 0 upper came in and I just tossed it on my DDMK18 lower for now until I build my lower out. I also got my Brownells A1 lower in and I'm waiting on the LPK, trigger, and Colt CAR stock to arrive here in the next week. My AEM5 is in ATF jail but this is slowly progressing! The optics will be a hurdle but all in time!

I was wondering where some of you guys got that longer picatinny rail for the bottom of the Mod 0. I want to be able to toss a vertical grip on it down the road since I've seen photos of people running it that way.

I finally painted my mod 0 today, in one of the bathrooms, when wife was home (talking about the courage I have, Rah! ) Really happy with the result I have with krylon khaki and some rustoleum furniture brown. Now I just need an A1 lower, correct bipod and a can to make it one of the most correct late mod 0s in the clone community. I'm so in love now!

How long did your form 3 take? I've got two aem5's on form 4 but my m110 and nt4 have been on form 3 almost 8 weeks I think. Might be 7 weeks.

The BCM is very very similar. Feels about the same, except the HK is a much more refined product, and the quality shows.

I dare say, try the HK

For $40, you're gonna have send me one to demo.

  $40 ain't nothing.

The BCM is very very similar. Feels about the same, except the HK is a much more refined product, and the quality shows.

I already have UTAH's  BCM mod1, so I'll try it first.

Anyone know the difference between ops inc brake and AE brake? One of mine has a ridge on the inside of the baffle which looks to direct gasses left and right.

So you bottomed your scope out while trying to zero? BTDT. Basically, you gotta remove your turret, zero it back out, and keep repeating this process until you're in the neighborhood. It's a fucking PITA, and why some SPR mounts have a certain degree built into the mount to offset this effect.

Its unlikely you've reached the actual mechanical zero. Like Utah said you loosen the set screws on the turret once its at the bottom and get to the internal adjustment  you should be able to come on down. Once zeroed set the cap at zero and snug it back up, but easy does it on scope turret set screws.

so...i've read through the thread, didnt see an answer to this question.

Other than the ARMS 22 high rings, what are mount options that are correct?  I feel like the arms 22 would be too tall?

These are correct minus the stop right?

http://swfa.com/ARMS-22-Throw-Lever-Scope-30mm-Rings-P2653.aspx

and this scope right?

We've seen everything from various heights of ARMS 22's (L, M, and H), Leupold Mk4 rings, Nightforce Ultra Lites, Larue LT104s, and Larue LT111.

FWIW, I ran out of down elevation on my new Vortex last time at the range. Turns out it was the zero stop shims from the previous owner.
