The OK RnG looks neat. I can't make the next one unless my schedule changes, but maybe this winter.

The only things that would REALLY bother me would be:

a) how in the world did you paste targets in that?

b) getting in my car sopping wet afterwards

nicely done though

ETA:  Currahee - how did the HL Impact Sports hold up to the rain?  Any water related issues with peoples gear before, during, after the shoot?

It is a blast.  By far the most fun shooting event out there IMO.  People come from all over the country to do it.  It fills up fast when we open registration though -- if you do Facebook, you should like our page so you get notice as soon as we open it if you want to come to the winter event.

As far as shooting in a downpour -- BTDT.  It will teach you the value of scope caps, a dry rag carried in a bag in your gear, and backup irons right quick.

A) That was the only stage with paper, the rain started while we were shooting it and we ended up just doing no penalties.

B) Funny thing, I took my shirt off when I got in the car, forgot to take it inside and the car smelled to high heaven the next day.

The Impacts are fine.

No real issues... you just have to be a gear user, not a collector, mud stains add to the camo anyway :)

ARs worked fine with muddy magazines.  We had Aimpoints, EOTechs, ACOGs and Lucids- they all got wet and all worked.  Have a plan to keep the window clean though, no matter what optic it is (or have BUIS)

Nice work!

I remember watching guys a few years ago at Camp Perry Nat'l Matches shooting the 600yd stage in the NTIT "battle rattle".  I was in the pit pulling targets while several of the military teams were on the line.   Amazing what an AR can do at range with a good barrel, good load, and good shooter.   Those were silhouettes at 600yds with iron sights, and not only where there a lot of "hits" in the black, but a lot of good hits.

Excellent read there.  I think that emphasizes the "good shooter" as being very important, if not the most important part of the equation.

yes that happened.....

Just more money invested into a camo pattern that literally just got replaced and hasn't even been fielded yet into Big Army line units

They're of much lower quality than burlap bags of old. cheap fabric, cheap stitching, cheap execution all around.  Think knock off Chinese-quality ACU uniform fabric in comparison to real deal military contract quality ACU type quality over non-tactical normal sand bags.  Its so sad its funny....
