well actually it normally would, but i had that barrel cut from 16" to around 14.25" if i remember correctly because the surefire MB55K adds 1.75" onto to the OAL once mounted. So the OAL is 16" Originally Posted By coregon:

I took mine back apart to put an adj gas block on it. Never even fired it, after finishing it a couple weeks ago when the stamp came in. Can someone post some pics of a new noveske GEN 3 lower with just mil spec uppers? I'd like to see a few before I get the lower to see how it matches.

With that said, when I do need to take it off I just remove the 8 screws that keep the Seekins on. Its only takes a few minutes. You could also use something to push the indent on the can down while you unscrew it. |

So I need a trigger for my gen 3 infidel. The lower came from noveske with a geissele ssa which I took out before using it and sold it. Not sure if I should get another one or some other geissele. It'll mainly be a fun gun and occasional piggy plinker. Optic will be either 1-4x or 1-6x. Thoughts?

Just because it comes from the same location does not mean it is the same product. A queef isn't a baby.-Keith_J |
Why did you sell the Geissele? Get another one. They are the only match trigger I will put in my AR's.

Depends on your budget. I prefer the standard ACOG for 4x and under (if not T1/EOTech) and Leupold LR/T 3.5-10x40 for the next step up. I did snag a deal on a VCOG recently and quite like it, but I don't think II'd shell out even close to MSRP of $2800 for one though.

I might be able to put that combo together for a pic I was wanting a GEN3 lower for my factory DD MK18 upper, or I guess any upper would work as well. Just wanted some examples of how the new GEN3 receiver mates up with mil spec forged uppers. I wouldn't mind the noveske upper too, but I dont think they sell them individual or I'd probably just go that route. Alan |

You are asking if a Noveske lower that looks exactly like a gen 2 will look right on upper it was designed for? Stop over thinking.
|
|
|
Yep I was over thinking it lol. Got it all figured out now, just wasn't sure of the differences between gen2 and gen3.
Thanks! |
