Well pardon my confusion. I'll go back and touch up on my "midlength rules". I was simply going off of looks, and looks meaning looking like 80% of the rifles in this thread. Noted for the future- Not a midlength Midlength has completely to do with the gas system used on your rifle, not the looks. A Colt SOCOM barrel uses a carbine length system, so that's what it is. Not if you replace the standard carbine gas block with a DD MK12 and a midlength system. On a Colt SOCOM barrel? You had the gas port location changed? |

Got my rifles mixed up. I have a DD barrel with a MK12 gas block on this one. I have almost the same exact rifle except in all black with the black RIS II. That's what happens when you're out of town with work and on limited sleep.

Actually like them a lot but didn't know their stuff was made in Asia. I need to find an accurate scale. I've gotten 5 lbs 4 oz on one scale and 4 lb 10 oz on another. It's probably closer to the 5 4 I would imagine but still feels ridiculously light to me. Still debating on that stock for this build but can't decide if I like the looks of it. More concerned with functionality though...how do you like it? |

In any case the LWRC is an awesome little stock, shaves two inches off the total OAL length and has a solid cheek weld. It also doesnt require a special BCG like the NEA compact stock does, its also a third the price. I have also yet to run into an sort of hiccup caused by the difference in buffer spring/weight. The minimalist stock you have on yours looks badass with the rest of the build, and fits the lines of the Balios set well. Past that I dont have any experience with em so thats the best I can help ya |

The lwrc would be cool on my 10.3 pistol whenever I sbr it. |

The determining factor for "system length" is the length of the gas tube, which is visible through your rail, and is a carbine-length tube and "system." For clarification, the "carbine" length gas system uses a ~8" gas tube and gas port location [from the chamber end]. A "midlength" system is ~10". You cannot simply change the gas system length on a barrel by changing the gas block, and PSA notwithstanding, by installing a different length gas tube. It's not impossible to convert the gas system length on a barrel, but it's usually more work than it's worth, because the original gas port needs to be plugged, and a new one drilled in the proper location. The Colt RO921HB uses a carbine length system. ~Augee |

I wanted something different this time. Its made by Xproducts, and features a non reciprocating and you can use any standard bolt unlike most side chargers out there. Also made from 7075 aluminum as well. You can also pull the bolt back and lock it back with one hand. No need for a BAD lever either
