Anyone got any pictures of a DOE submachinegun?  I might be interested in doing an exact clone and I need to know what type of tele stock and lower I need.  Any help is appreciated.

Where can I get a Colt mag well block to pin in my lower?

This DOE upper (below)is one of two, is in like new condition is for sale here for the princely sum of $1550

But you'd better get your tax stamp first.

They also have the mag block for $450 - ouch!

What's the purpose of the plate at the front of the barrel?

OK, don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure I read that there are firing ports in secure rooms and doors of the nuclear power plant facilities that allow these muzzle plates to fit. I think it's all geared to avoid shooting things that might react very badly to bullets. I believe they also used special ammo not unlike what Air Marshalls use to avoid overpenetration.

Not a bad idea when you are working around fissile material!

To keep your hands from sliding down the handguard and getting shot.

Any AR lower will do, you can buy a one piece drop in magazine block which works very well.  the upper will be expensive.

But if you just a std Colt SMG clone, you can basically find all the parts you need from rock river.

I'm not looking for "any" lower.   I'm looking for the correct forging with the correct reinforcements and the correct telestock for a true clone.  It will be built out of all Colt parts except the lower.

Hahaha, I always knew you were a fan of MLP!

I'll post pics of my 633 tommorrow.  I remember when RPB was selling those uppers brand new in SGN for $800 not too long ago.   Wish I bought some for resale.

Yes indeed, I am a big fan of MLP!

They have to be the real deal though. No reverse engineered knockoffs are allowed in my toybox, err, stable...
