Here we go again….It started earlier than expected this year, but to say we are back at 2008 with the Obama election is an understatement. The 2012 Election Frenzy is in full force and the pace is fast and furious. Mark our words, this will be another banner year in the gun industry! A lot of us in the industry started pre-planning for this frenzy back in 2011. We talked with manufacturers, dealers, consumers and everyone thought they were prepared. That is until 2012 actually hit. Manufacturers were already inundated with orders in January after the largest buying show of the year, SHOT Show 2012. Now, almost every manufacturer we deal with is backlogged with orders and delayed in production by 2-3, even months. We even have one manufacturer that is 6-7+ months out, just on uppers alone!
If you’ve been to a gun show in your area, as we have, you’ve likely seen bigger crowds than normal, ammo flying out the doors, not to mention no triggers to be found anywhere. Manufacturers can’t make the parts fast enough, we can’t get them in quick enough and as soon as we do, within 24-48 hours we are sold out! Most of you have already experienced it, we talk to you everyday and the same response we get on any given day, for any given part is, “it’s sold out everywhere!” So what’s HOT right now? In two words, everything AR! With the impending threat of an assault rifle ban with the upcoming election, rifle enthusiasts are scooping up everything AR and QUICK! Manufacturers are having a hard time keeping up with this frenetic pace. They have run out of parts to complete their own builds and those who rely on smaller shops for their parts (bolts, carriers, forward assists, etc.) to complete their builds are having to wait it out; hence the 2, 3, 4-6 month backlog on orders. So what does that mean for you? The good news for our Elite Tactical customers is that we are one of the largest distributors for a large number of the most popular AR15 manufacturers, so we have a good chance of getting our supply replenished quickly (not to mention great deals)! At Elite Tactical, we pre-planned and stocked up before the frenzy hit and we still have thousands of accessories, uppers, parts, gear and much more in stock. So, if you are in the market for AR-15/M4 parts in the near future, our advice is to get it while you can and plan ahead! If you need something right away, don’t hesitate!
