When I first installed the trigger it did this almost every time.
Pull through the 1st stage, it stops, tightened up a bit, then moves slightly before stopping, and then with slightly more pressure would release. I describe this as feeling like 3 stages.
Took it all out to make sure I didn't install a spring wrong, everything in the right direction etc. Put it all back together.
It would still do it intermittently a few times, and I noticed for a while it seemed to correspond with first applying pressure with the safety on, then switch to fire, then pull the trigger.
After a while it stopped doing it at all as far as I can tell right now.
Anyone else ever experience this?
Everything feels good now, I'm just curious.
Edit: still does it with the upper back on.
Edit: Have been reading up trying to find more info:
Could it be this problem? : ProblemWithGeisseleTrigger
It does kinda feel like it should have dropped with what felt like the 2nd stage, but takes just a little bit more pressure to do so.
This sounds very similar:
2ndStageCreep?
Edit: After reading the above thread I had a hunch it was the back of the trigger rubbing on the safety, so I put in a newer safety and the problem goes away.
