This has probably already been covered elsewhere, but *do* use the grease supplied with your trigger.
I bought an SSA-E a few weeks ago, and spent much of the time since feeling something that verged on buyer's remorse. At $200+, I was still feeling a bit of grittiness on the initial take-up on the trigger. Not a lot, mind you, but still...
Later, I was casually reading some of the threads here, and in one, the subject of relative merits of various greases was being discussed. Someone mentioned "stiction," which immediately resonated from my days dealing with motorcycle forks. Actually, I'm not sure the term is strictly applicable in this case, but anyway, that's when I remembered the tiny vial of grease that came with my trigger...
When I got the trigger, I just dropped it in the gun, and lubed it with my regular lube. Grease is grease, right?
So I took it out, cleaned it, and put it back in with the supplied grease. The bit of grit and friction on the initial take-up was gone. No big surprise.
Now I just need to figure out where to buy some more of this grease.
