Starting a thread for folks to share their ideas or thoughts on what they would like to see from Geissele. We have a few threads going on and this should consolidate everything. Go...

Black & DDC anodized accessories, such as a hand stop, angled grip, sling attachment points.
...preferably as *Keymod* mounted versions! |

Id really like to see a piston compatible rail. There aren't too many companies that make them, and the ones that do are nowhere near the quality of Geissele. From what I can tell I would pretty much be a matter of removing a little more material where the gas tube normally goes. Perhaps even a limited run of these could be done with deposits from buyers so you know you can move them. Pretty sure a lot of LWRC owners would all over something like this.
Modular rail panels with a nice grippy texture. A VFG that would attach directly to the rail without needing to a pic rail section. |

Keymod Flashlight partnered with Gene Malkoff
Mount should be integral with the flashlight body Once mounted and tightened you can then screw on the head add the batteries and screw on the clickie tailcap Should run on (2) C123A primaries or (1) 18650 rechargeable Using a McLish reflector and lens with lots of throw & 800+ lumens I would like to see this fit nearly flush in the 45 degree offsets putting the light as close to the boreline as possible I would also like to see a super light wt octagonal rail with keymod in the 45's same barrel nut set up (Geissele's the best imo) a 15.0 would be nice too |

All I'm interested in right now is the AR10 rail they are developing.
Can't wait. |
|
1. Handstops - direct attach for SMR & similar
2. Upper & Lower receivers 3. BUIS sets 4. BCGs? - If you sold them, I'd only buy yours. |

Can't believe no one is suggesting a mug, stainless steel thermos, bamboo back scratcher...

Uppers
The option to upload an image and have it laser etched on a rail or upper. Anodizing service so all my stuff can be DDC Buis Trigger guards would probably sell. Sling attachment point at the buffer |

Sights are a good idea.
But much like your triggers, I think the trick is choosing those components where people are accustomed to believing that good enough is good enough, and then they try something that's actually made to a high level of quality and it ends up making a huge difference. Like the ALG sling swivel you've announced. Everyone is used to thinking that the cheap little QD swivels that come with everything are 'good enough.' They rattle, they're not that strong, they bind or don't rotate very well, etc. But it's "just a sling swivel" and nobody cares, right? Exactly like a trigger. Hey, it works, and you can overcome its deficiencies. Yeah, well, what if you didn't have to? What if it just worked perfectly from the start? The Reaction Rod is another great example. Everyone had always just assumed that upper vise blocks were the way you were supposed to do the job. Sure, it's a little wobbly, and you're putting stress on things you don't need to or don't want to, but that's just how it was always done. It's those kinds of components I think a lot of people associate you guys with. It might be called "unexpected quality" or something; hey, I'm not a marketing guy. So, what are some things we're used to discounting? Things we don't even think about and just assume are supposed to be crappy? How about quality lower parts? All the little pins and springs that people won't pay more than $30 for and their quality is always kinda... meh. When's the last time you built out a lower and had everything just go together perfectly because all the parts were within tolerance and worked well? And don't lie, you know all your takedown pins are stiff yet jiggly. Doesn't your upper and lower fit kinda stink? Do you use some stupid hard rubber doohickey to keep them tight? Come on, there's got to be a better solution for that. Or that crappy bolt release. The much-beloved ping pong paddle. Yeah, it works, but could it work better? All mine are floppy and loose. Mag release. It's alright; but could be better. Do I need a $150 parts kit? Eeh. But I'd pay $80-90 for something with some actual quality to it. And you *know* people would want to just buy all the lower parts, including a trigger, all from the same place. I think like half of my Geissele triggers were bought in PSA kits. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff out there that can be improved on. It's just finding those things that actually need to be G-level quality. |

Having just built around my awesome rail and trigger, I'll second the idea of a quality LPK without triggers or grips.
so you buy a trigger set, get the quality LPK and then buy whatever grip you want. I have so much excess LPK junk sitting around because I don't use stock triggers or grips. |
|
1. Buis
2. Lower Build kits 3. Muzzle Brake/comp 4. Trigger guard I'm constantly amazed with the build quality and design of your products! Geissele Automatics gets it |
|
Lots of good suggestions so far. Not sure anyone has brought this up yet, but what about a MIL620 light mount for the SMR?
|
|
I would like to see an ALG Defense Glock trigger and maybe some extended base pads to match their mag well.
I like the ALG single chamber comp that's coming. That is on my must buy list. Other than that, I would dig a geissele upper/lower/LW barrel. I would love to order a 14.5 barrel with a permed brake, geissele gas block pinned and smr barrel nut installed. |
|
I am eager to see a complete barreled upper with the indexing tab just like the HK416 and the uppers that you supply to citizens arms. I also had a thought, could retained push pins be used as the cross bolts on the SMR instead of screws? This would allow for easy removal (if one were using a piston system and needed to access it for maintenance) and it would eliminates the chance of over torqueing and stripping the screws.
I am very excited about the MK5 I can’t wait, do you have any pictures? When you guy are all settled in to the new factory will you be giving tours? |

Remington 700 triggers would be really nice. I'd be down for 5.

Some BUIS to knock the top contenders down a few pegs would be awesome. There is really no one out there that makes the perfect BUIS, if anyone can do it...
Something with clean strong detents folding up and down, fast framing and acquisitions of the front sight, elevation adjustments in the rear assembly and front sight... |

I detest LPKs with split pins instead of coiled pins; makes installation harder than it needs to be.

Full Keymod rail, with keymod "ports" at 1:30, 3, 4:30, 6, 7:30, 9, and 10:30, like the NSR and new BCM rail.

That's too much. That's WAY too much. Please, no. Geissele, please continue to offer the Mk4 SMR "classic" (i.e. no keymod). It's just that I like it the way it is and don't need it all keymoddy. Pretty please? I'll be your best friend. |

I have build on hold waiting for a Mark4 type full keymod 15" version
Any chance of this happening? Otherwise I am going with the dark desert dirt 13" full keymod |
|
I think Sagmill mentioned that at some point, they're going to roll some 15" but there was no ETA.

A upper/rail combo with the return to zero tab like the CW uppers had. Better if the upper was a WAR upper receiver. I'm in the market.

A year ago, Geissele made some custom complete uppers for Cola Warrior prizes. Why? Because he's awesome, I don't know. But where the rail sections of the receiver and rail meet, there was a semicircular 'tongue' on the rail that slipped into a concave 'groove' in the upper receiver. Not only does it act as an antirotation tab, but it tightens up when the rail is installed so anything you have on the rail (e.g. front sight, laser, etc) will return to at least close to wherever it was originally zeroed. Part of the thinking behind the design of the SMR is that you can keep the barrel nut in place and swap out the entire rail if you want to do such a thing. You could have preconfigured rails with everything already attached, say between day and night or for different uses. I don't know how well the alignment screws on the SMRs would keep it zeroed if removed (probably fairly well, at least), but having a rail and receiver that are factory made to be perfectly aligned is a really nice touch. |

This is exactly what I envisioned when I found out Geissele made uppers for some custom builder last year and asked about them being available for us to purchase. I dont have so much an interest in swapping out rails on one rifle but on a precision build, if I take the rail off to clean, it would be nice to know it was going back Exactly where it came off of. Since I am very anal about vibrations etc. I never saw the Cola Warrior uppers anyone have pics? |
