When are we gonna see some preproduction ideas? Rollmarks and what not.

Yeah a roll mark preview would be cool. So would the actual lower and upper, but I understand you want to keep those under wraps till you patent(s) come back.

|
|
dont worry... I'll be in for one... and can i just get SN#1 so i can file for my stamp ;)

The roll mark will be based on our Spartan helmet and spear logo, the SAFE / FIRE engraving will most likely be pictogram. We may laser engrave some with the smiley ordnance bomb logo somewhere as limited edition runs, it'll be tasteful and inconspicuous
The forged lowers will be 45/90 compatible, but otherwise fairly standard. The billet receiver, on the other hand, will allow us to get more creative. |

Roger,
Are they going to be available in different anodized colors? My girlfriend is looking for a deep purple upper/lower combo. |

Guys, the forged receivers prices will be competitive. Other than 45/90 degree compatible, they are fairly standard.

Maybe we'll be the industry first and offer them in only FDE, and nothing else
But seriously, this has to do with a few factors, some of which we can't predict for lack of sales data (we haven't sold lower receivers before so we have no data). We have to use our Cerakoted selectors sales as a basis, but since they're not lower receivers, it's not directly comparable, it can provide a general idea. Depending on how fast we can produce the receivers, and what the demand is from distributors, dealers, and direct sales to end users, we may be able to set aside some to anodize in color colors. I'm no expert in anodizing, what I've gathered over the years is the color may not always turn out as we may expect. This in turn takes time to do right, if the anodizing shop has to learn to coat them in colors we approve. Since the ETP and EPP (enhanced take down and pivot pins) will also come in different colors, these being 12L14 steel and will be Cerakoted and not anodized, they will have different colors than colored receivers, creating a SCAR-like color scheme, with several different shades of FDE. I'm not sure if I or our customers will go for that. |

Re: pre-order, once we have a better time frame, we can start to accept names and email addresses for the notify list, but I am loathe to accept payment, even partial payment as deposits. Too often this can create bad feelings and abundant administrative work, none of which is of benefit to anyone.
The notify list serves only to notify interested customers of progress, available date, options, and price, so they don't have to check the boards all the time. Options may include triggers, selectors, Norgon Ambi-catch and other parts such as our ETP and EPP (enhanced take down pin, and pivot pin) if they're available by the time the receivers are ready, and pistol grips. |

As someone who uses and loves your gear, count me in for a few of the forged lowers.
Heck, you ought to get your hands on some VLTOR A5 tubes/buffers/springs, and make an essentially turn-key lower. Let the end-user install the stock and grip they like, and off they go. |

While I'm all for giving customers the option of getting completed (or mostly completed) lowers, I hope it wouldn't curtail the availability of stripped lowers. -bob |

The items we will list as add-ons are products either of our manufacture, or products we have been carrying for a long time that complement a standard forged receiver.
Receiver extensions and stocks will be added as we progress. Heretofore, these items are not our core competencies and unrelated to the fire control group, thus we have not carried them. We do also carry products that have little to do with fire control groups, ambidextrous functions, etc., such as Battle Comp, MultiTasker, vertical foregrip, etc., we carry them because we love the companies, the folks that run them, and the products themselves We will be making our own receiver extensions and upper receivers. As our product line expands, we will gradually have most of the related products in inventory. What I don't foresee us doing though, is custom rifle building. Of course this too can change. If anyone told us in 2009 where we'd be in 2013, I wouldn't have believed him. We have come a long way since then, and we have all of you guys, and our wonderful dealers and distributors to thank for that |

How does one get on this email notification list?
|
|
|
I will post the email address to send the request. It is too early to start one, mostly I am concerned about unforeseen delays and variables over which we have little control, I don't want to get people's hopes up, just to tell them 2 weeks, 2 weeks, 2 more weeks
I also don't wish for folks to pass up on good deals and not buy something they need, in order to wait for us, we have a firmer ETA now but the plan is to announce it when it's 30 days out. As folks that put down deposits for products in 2003 and received them in 2013, we know how infuriating this can be. |

Given our seemingly over cautiousness regarding liability issues, I think our attorneys will shoot down SAFE / FIRE markings in symbols that can be misconstrued as something else.
Most likely we'll go with pictogram, or with the words SAFE and FIRE spelled out, nobody is going to confuse those for other meanings lol. Re: ETA, about eight weeks, but this is an estimate based on best case outcome on the variables. |

AR15 receiver markings: 0 degree (SAFE) and 68 degree (FIRE), no AUTO.
M16 receiver markings: 0 (SAFE), 68 (SEMI), and 180 (AUTO / BURST) There will only be one of each, as at 68 degree (FIRE or SEMI), the engraving is usable by both the short throw and 90 degree selectors. |

The M16 receivers will have the 0-50-180 3 way, short throw (from SAFE to SEMI is 50 degrees) as an option, the standard 0-90-180 3 way selector will work with it too.
The BAD-CASS-3P-ST (3 position, short throw) will have the lawyer pin like our other short throw selectors. A few of the demo units are floating in the wild, there is one change we're making to it before general release |
